King has great hockey sense. Even though he doesn't have all the tools, I think he's still a great third liner. He's big and it forces the other team to get their heads up.

Get their heads up for what? He is a gentle giant on the ice. If He decides to ever use his size he could dominate along the boards which is what he needs to do.

A lot of our tall players are gentle lol. It sucks.

Penner and King occasionally are just floating. They are both huge guys, but play like they are 5'-10" goal scorers from time to time.

True. Very true. I know people say our team is physical, but man our big players never throw a big hit. I wish we were a nastier more physical team. King is soft, and Penner is soft, Kopitar is soft. Muzzin is pretty soft. Id love to have clutterbuck and ott on this team. That'd be awesome. Our players might be big but the biggest are sadly the most passive ones. And Richards only hits in the playoffs. Brown hits sometimes. Only clifford and nolan throw good hits along with brown at times.

Ott isn't looking too good in Buffalo. Dallas traded him and replaced him with a younger, cheaper Roussell. They dumped Pardy too in that deal and Ott's contract and flipped Roy for a 2nd since then. Not bad.

Kings will address that LW spot during the off season. Right now the Kings have Brown, playing his off wing, LW, Penner, King and Clifford. The only sure bets are Brown and Clifford and even Brown can shift over back to RW...so they really could use 1-2 LW's.

For a big guy King is pretty soft, Kopitar too. Muzzin was pretty physical early on but that part of his game has vanished. It needs to come back in a big way for the playoffs. Can't score goals? Make some punishing checks instead, that usually grabs some momentum...

Yeah, I'm not so much disappointed in his lack of hitting as I am his lack of fighting through contact with the opposition. Even if he's pinned along the boards by a smaller guy he just tends to stay put and not push through. Incredibly frustrating given his size.

He better pick it up quickly or else Pearson and/or Andreoff will take his spot next year

Well hopefully the Kings and King will pick up their physicality once the playoff starts! Let's see King put Pietro through the boards again and witness the bLose all cry again if we get them.

I think Pearson will be a game changer on the kings. Really want him in asap. And Andreoff to fill in for Fraser maybe.
