That is because players don't go to the AHL anymore. They join the NHL team as soon as they are ready.

I am sure this is the trend across the league.

The point is that some minor league coaches tend to find minor surprises. Guys who weren't ready but become ready for big roles. It doesn't happen often anywhere, but it hasn't happened at all for the Sharks in a long time. Your argument against is eyewash as I provided examples right in the point made.

And for good reason. He is old .. can't skate .. plus it seems that he wants to win every time he steps on the ice. That kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
