Do you guys actually believe that a loss tonight and a loss Saturday night will change anything?

Liverpool FC is doing well this season. FSG may not even have noticed the current NHL standings, or potentially they don't give a rat's ass. All THEY know is we have a top-three coach.

Which begs the question, if Mike Sullivan is top 3, then who else makes the cut? Derek Lalonde? Lindy Ruff?

I gotta imagine at some point the precipitous decline has to eventually erode his good graces. If not, like, what are we even doing here?

Sullivan's a noted, colossal problem, but if he's literally untouchable regardless of any circumstances, FSG is as much or bigger of an issue. And you can't just fire an ownership group. We're stuck with them as long as they care to own the team.

Exactly. And I firmly believe we are stuck.

Looking forward to seeing the triumphant return of Brian Dumoulin, Brock McGinn and elite goal scorer Jansen Harkins.

If he is EVER going to put one (that counts) in the net, it will be tonight. So as not to embarrass Ned, Harkins' goal can happen as an empty-netter when the Pens are trailing by a goal or two late.

EDIT: After taking a 2-0 lead, of course.

I doubt very much that FSG is so hands off they aren’t even aware of the team’s struggles. I’m willing to bet there are a lot of highly paid people looking at this every day and getting status updates.

I would imagine that there is a lot of group think in those rooms.

Sure, when they have questions about hockey, they ask their friend Mike Sullivan what he thinks the problem is.

I suspect a hit will be put out on one Jesse Puljujarvi any day now.

At this point, I am hoping for high scoring games to boost the milestone watch. Kind of resigned that the team went from mediocre to bad like a jack o lantern in the rain.

If the Pens are bottom 5-10 for the next 2 years, I can't imagine Malkin resigning to stay with Sid and Letang to head up a bunch of lottery picks in 2026.

Could be a win but probably not. Anaheim has some good young talent. Only team I'm comfortable predicting a win against is SJ.
I said we CAN win, not that we will. It was pretty easy to see we weren’t beating any of those West coast teams or Minny.

FSG has chased away any real insight to the team and relies on proven losers in Dubas, and hitched their wagon to a coach who's not in tune with a aging core, going into a rebuild.

Everything they say is to somehow keep the barn filled somewhat long enough for a a new light to take hold. It really isn't hard to pick top 1 to 5 and this team shows no lack of doing so whomever is at the helm. It's all the other details to come to mind. And Dubas has a lot of doing the other stuff wrong while having a younger core to work with. I don't trust him to build anything.
