I think itll depend on what coach comes in, and what types of conversations go on with the new coach and zegras.

I doubt hes moved this summer, way to risky w/o seeing him with a full offseason/new coach. I think you see how he does until the deadline, unless someone becomes available that is an obvious upgrade.

Wish Cronin the best. He certainly also did SOME things well. Some stretches were super fun but overall it seemed he was over his head or stuck in the 90s. I think he could be a very effective assistant somewhere.

I have been banging the Jay Woodcroft drum for a while and I think he makes sense for us. I'd be very happy to have him. Just for refference, here were the Oilers players reacting to him getting canned - seems he was respected there. Oilers' McDavid on Woodcroft: 'He never lost the room'

I actually disagree just generally speaking- The HC is still responsible for everything at the end of the day - “the buck stops here” - including special teams. If they aren’t working it’s up to the HC to step in

Don’t feel bad for Cronin…. he was able to be a head coach for a NHL team for 2 complete seasons. It’s something he thought would never happen at his age. Plus he gets a paid season to either retire or look for other opportunities. Not a lot of people even get the opportunity so he’s had a successful career.
