I don’t mind them I listen sometimes. What would be the best Ducks podcast out there? Are they the Crash The Pond guys? I've tried listening to that podcast and they're awful.

None, and that’s a problem. Either they post often but are awful, or rarely post to where you’ve moved on from the majority of their taking points each episode.I don’t mind them I listen sometimes. What would be the best Ducks podcast out there?
I don’t know if Trouba would be one to go for deferred money. With Frank it’s pretty clear he’s gonna be here for three years, maybe more after that, but when he’s retired he plans on living elsewhere. Don’t know if you can say the same about Trouba, he might be a Californian for life and if he is then deferred money doesn’t make sense.I think Trouba gets a similar deal next year, maybe even with deferrals. He's going to take a pay cut for sure.
I like this deal for the Ducks. I thought Vatrano could/would get a 4-5 year deal as a UFA. Glad the ducks didn't do that. And the AAV is largely irrelevant for the next 3 years.
Just saw you were from Saskatoon. We took our RV up there in September of 2022. We were allowed to go into the SaskTel Center and I got a Blades sweatshirt that Sidorov signed for me at Development Camp.I don’t know if Trouba would be one to go for deferred money. Jake and Felix have 1500 YouTube subscribers, after almost a decade of doing a show. If they weren’t so firmly opinionated and overly loud about it on Twitter and consistently trying to show why they feel they’re right. They would have a lot more to show for their efforts as far as subs go.Although I think they would rather have a bunch of mini Felix Jake’s who echo their sentiment than a larger more diverse audience honestly. I’m ducks starved, so I’m definitely a subscriber. I appreciate them even though I think they shoot themsleves in the feet.
What does that tell about cronin?

Any deferral is typically not great for the player, it’s why I don’t think this is going to be a major trend, and you’re right we don’t really know(although you can take a pretty decent guess) but I’m just saying he’s a bit different from most players. A big part of the reason he chose Anaheim was because of his wife’s career which is what’s going to dictate their lives once he’s done playing. But you’re right, who knows. It just depends on how much the deferral is. He and his wife are both from Michigan . . . who knows where they want to live.
That’s awesome, it’s a great city, hope you enjoyed your time here.Just saw you were from Saskatoon. We took our RV up there in September of 2022. We were allowed to go into the SaskTel Center and I got a Blades sweatshirt that Sidorov signed for me at Development Camp.
Never noticed before but seems the Ducks have a lot of fans from Saskatchewan.Any deferral is typically not great for the player, it’s why I don’t think this is going to be a major trend, and you’re right we don’t really know(although you can take a pretty decent guess) but I’m just saying he’s a bit different from most players. Maybe, maybe not. But I’d prefer to have it available than not.But are the ducks really in need of that $1.4 mill of cap space over the next 3 seasons?
There are a lot of benefits actually. In theory, the Ducks could trade him at the deadline in 3 years and another team would be on the hook for 9 mil.But are the ducks really in need of that $1.4 mill of cap space over the next 3 seasons?
It’s not a big deal to the Ducks aside from having that Liability sit on their B/S for the next 10 to 20 years. If that is what he really wanted to do, they were certainly fine in setting up the contract that way.
If another club is on the hook for that $9 mill, makes it more unlikely another team would want that obligation. There are a lot of benefits actually. In theory, the Ducks could trade him at the deadline in 3 years and another team would be on the hook for 9 mil.

I think it's the opposite. I think he really likes Southern California. I think the 9 mil on the back end makes the contract very difficult to trade. It's almost like a "NTC light".There are a lot of benefits actually. In theory, the Ducks could trade him at the deadline in 3 years and another team would be on the hook for 9 mil.
I listen to them too, and I agree with you. They are too heavy on their advanced stats takes. They also have over the top anti-fighting and anti-toughness takes. They're a decent listen though. They're pretty much all that's available focused on the Ducks.Me too, and though I don't necessarily agree with them they seem pleasant enough.
I think they'd benefit from a 3rd person who saw things differently though.
Love this. Hopefully more players feel the same.Vatrano says part of the reason he took the deferred money was to help our cap situation:

This is a pretty big deal as it could help set a precedent for other players on the team to do the same.
