Darling was supposed to win us games. He was supposed to provide the extra cushion that would preserve these kinds of 1-goal leads, and win these kinds of shootouts.

And he can't get his pads down to stop a puck from outside the f***ing circle. Beer leaguers stop that f***ing shot.

I didn't even think it was *possible* for a guy that big to have less than a .900 save percentage, but here we f***ing are. Beaten by 75-year-old Ryan Miller in his first game back from the Old Folks Home.

Small sample size, though! Only an eighth of the season. Maybe everything will magically get better!

They better f***ing hope so.

This looks like the same bland, streaky team with the same issues as years past. I feel as if we're no closer to being a playoff team than if JR was still here. We've been missing obvious big holes, and our management hasn't done what it takes to fill these holes. I'm not completely ready to give up because we've had a weird schedule, and I feel we have a favorable November schedule, but I'm not too optimistic going forward.

Where do you find your optimism? I have 8 years of same old shit, and I don`t think that something will change.

Look at Arizona, they suck, but they suck hard to get better players from draft, we will pick at #12 again, just because we fell short of them playoffs once again

we need big trade, lindholm, rask, even hanifin, just something... this is not playoff group. i don't care that much for the record, we just doesn't look good in the first ten games of the season. that's it. not the record.

Nothing like giving a $16 million contract to a guy who has played 75 games in their career. Then they proceed to laugh in your face by pigging out on Bojangles for 4 months and unleash all of that shit all at once to start the season
