Just because the goal is on Elliott doesn't mean that any mistakes in the build up to it should be ignored. They weren't blaming Perron, but rightly pointing out his part.

But if we give up a goal everytime Perron tries to do too much in the offensive zone, we'll be giving up 4 or more a night.

But as maddening as Perron can be, he is a keeper.

You're deliberately allocating the blame on 1 player. Why does all the blame go towards Elliot when you yourself admitted that Perron was doing too much in the offensive zone? You make no sense.

That goal was entirely on elliott. Its not like 57 gave up a 3 on 0 breakaway. It was a weak wrister that snuck through from quite a ways out.

Every time the Sabres are in an intermission, I always switch to the Blues to watch. You guys have such an exciting team to watch from the defence out. Surprised to see you guys take advantage of Fasth who has been hot recently.

Glad to see that goal didn't kill our momentum. Kept playing hard, and are up by 2 after 20 minutes. My prediction is already wrong, so I hope we can get a few more goals. My stars of the game prediction are off to a pretty damn good start (Stewart, Backes, Shattenkirk) :D

Perron tried to single handedly dangle 3 of the duck's players. When you try to do those things, it leads to unnecessary turnovers when instead, Perron could have got the puck deep when no available pass was made. You seriously would not play a shift of ice hockey if a hockey coach heard you say that. You obviously don't play.

We are playing great aside from Elliott, haha. He let in a terrible goal. An awful play by Perron definitely led to that but Elliott has GOT to save that, that wasn't a tough shot.

Shattenkirk looks awesome.

Stewart made 2 nice passes on those assists. Of course he looks much better after I rag on him the last game.

4th line of Schwartz-Nichol-Reaves actually looks fairly good...Playing with intensity.

1st line also looks good. McDonald will get those 2 involved offensively.

Bottom line is the Blues from the first couple games are back, they look much more energized.

He's actually made quite a few big saves. Ducks just look very tired, and the Blues had yesterday off. Seems to have a pretty big effect in this game. Blues are getting to all the loose pucks.

I think the reason the Blues sucked the past 2 games is because they played 3 games in 4 days twice in the first couple weeks and were basically gassed. A heavy forechecking, aggressive team like the Blues isn't built for multiple games in a short period of time. Plus, the Blues had multiple players who didn't play oversees during the lockout. They weren't ready for that type of workload that quickly.

I understand perron made a dumb mistake that simply dumping it in would've prevented, but the fact is that was a VERY easy save to make, and we can't even trust our goalie to make it.

Alright, let's just move past those 2 games. They were terrible but it's over with, no reason to make excuses. Plus I'm not buying the "they were tired" excuse. Even after the tough 5-3 loss to Detroit they had 3-4 days off before facing Nashville and completely sucked. They have gotten enough rest. Every team is going to be playing a lot of games, man up.

And they look great tonight so far.
