Are you serious? The goal never happens if Perron puts it deep with 3 guys on him. Don't act like Perron wasn't responsible for that at all.

At some point the Ducks were going to get a shot on goal. It couldn't have been much easier of a shot that went through Elliott. That's like blaming a guy for losing a faceoff in the offensive zone and they come back and score. Elliott gets the blame for a shot going through him.

Just because the goal is on Elliott doesn't mean that any mistakes in the build up to it should be ignored. They weren't blaming Perron, but rightly pointing out his part.
