Ducks 3rd Jersey, Uniforms & Logo Discussion continued

Yellow, gold and orange just don't work together. You would be able to see orange sticks just fine, the black lines are very thick on the outside. It really doesn't help to give us an orange jersey and play up orange as our color and plaster a team logo on the front completely absent of any orange. You either go all in on orange or use it like the old jerseys with a very small orange line for accent, this in between thing just doesn't work.

Another quibble I have is that the logo seems to sit pretty low on the chest.
 
I don't know why it has black sleeves, would have looked much better with it just on the bottom of the jersey IMO.

I think if the black and gold stripes were reversed that would be the perfect third jersey.
 
A friend wants to buy the new 3rd jersey as a gift for someone. I know nothing about jerseys. He wants to know the best/cheapest place to buy one. Any help? Are there authentic and replica jerseys? If so a link to each would be great, thanks.

And what size for a 5'5ish, thin/average girl?

probably Men's Small. sleeve length might be a problem though, check the sizing info on that. I'm 5'5'' but i have been "blessed" with... well, let's say, i will never be able to wear strapless top or dress lol... I have to go for M to feel comfortable. Sleeves on that are actually a bit too long. So maybe S will be just perfect.

Or you can go with Women's sizes, but personally I prefer men's jerseys.
 
I want one. Sleeves are a little funky looking but I won't nitpick the best jersey we've had in a long while.
 
They really went full ****** on the sleeves. Never go full ******! Otherwise, I like it.

Colorado's new jersey is pretty awesome.
 
I have been planning to get Cogs jersey for a while now (plan was to get last season home had they won The Cup)
but MD logo doesn't need any "excuse" for me :laugh:
and I got myself a Discover it card (with Ducks logo of course), so I'll enjoy that little discount that it comes with :)
 
Just waiting for the new 3rd to be released so I can get a Perry jersey. I like the look of these better than our current ones so I'll probably frame my old 3rd Getzlaf jersey or something.

I hope to god they create a white version of these and introduce them as the home and aways in a few years. How do you get this jersey so right, but the current ones so wrong?
 
I do dislike that illuminati logo a bit and it is maybe a bit too simple but ok for a 3d jersey i guess. I think it`s great for fans to get one. It partly doesn`t even look like a hockey jersey, i would probably try to get one if i`m an Avs fan
 
I'm a little torn on those Avs jerseys.

On their own merit, they do look cool. Kind of a neat combo of simple, vintage logo, and modern finishing.

But I also have this gut reaction when I see something without history try to manufacture it. So for example when we had our script thirds, I didn't like it because it made us look like some kind of old-time wannabes. I especially hated the laces part. Nobody uses laces since we joined the league, don't try to pretend. So the Avs are a new team from the 90s, they don't have history. But then you could say yes they are still an old team because of the Nordiques lineage. Or (which is what they are trying to do now) you could say they are a spiritual successor to the Rockies. But I still have that gut reaction.
 
I like it, but, idk, it almost feels like it would look better as a hoodie than a hockey sweater
 
The Avs jersey looks great but there's just something off with the logo. It doesn't look balanced and is visually too busy for such a minimalistic, retro style.
