Wow, you have Landeskog? Why are you guys not perennial Stanley Cup contenders?

You build hockey teams around would-be stars but you need guys like Simmonds to get it done, period. You're in the basement, you realize that?

You have Simmonds but can't get it done...period.

Lol. The Avs have been playing well and are still at .500 despite being in the basement. You clearly don't know much about the Avs.

For what its worth, I dont know ive ever seen the poster on the Flyers main board. I dont think hes a fan. just a random neutral.

Obviously. Who wants a 25 year old C capable of scoring at a PPG when you could have a 28 year old 60pt winger.

In fairness, it's been a few years since Duchene came close to a PPG. Last 2+ seasons:

Simmonds 125 points in 173 games
Duchene 125 points in 171 games

Much closer than you are making it out to be. Both are totally different players though. Matt plays a more important position. Simmonds plays a physical game that Matt doesn't. Matt has a speed game.

Anyways, no need for the fanbases to turn this into trash talking. Philly doesn't need Duchene, Avs don't need move him.

I don't recall Crosby having bounce problems. Excuse, excuses...

Did I ever compare the two? No I did not. Quit trying to pick fights you just lose.

Again...if you watch MacKinnon, you'd have some perspective. There's no debating that he needs to be better, but calling him a bust (as the other poster did) is just beyond stupid.

Speaking of MacKinnon, his last playoff outing he had 10 points in 7 games. Want to tell Avs fans that he isn't a playoff performer while you're at it?

I would do something around sanheim for duchene. For colorado fans most flyer fans rank the flyers d provy sanheim ghost so you see where he fits in. Salary would be a slight issue so id probably go wirh something along the lines of cousins and weiss. Value for the salary but depth players essentially. I'm open to discussion how to make that work. Duchenne up front would give the flyers the c depth to compete now with provy playing already.

Shouldn't they be looking for a goalie instead?

They are 2nd in the league in goals scored and have a .500 record and a -5 goal differential.

The 1st and 3rd highest scoring teams are 1st in their divisions..

If you build championship teams with guys like Simmonds, how come the Flyers only have 2 first round exits to show for his time as a Flyer?

I mean maybe Simmonds was superb and everyone else was bad? What's that? He only had 2 assists in 6 games during the 1st round exit last year you say? Weird. That doesn't fit your narrative at all.

Hasn't Colorado missed the playoffs 5 times since Duchene entered the league? Pretty idiotic argument there.

So if the Flyers had easier competition they'd have won? Wow. Stop the presses.

Also...Duchene had 3 points in 2 games the last time Avs were in the playoffs and he was coming back from a serious injury.

Simmonds is a complimentary winger. Duchene is a 1st line center. He's younger and more valuable.

i'm not saying it's a one for one deal.. you said simmonds wasn't a good playoff player... and i proved you wrong soooo

Mason is the reason the flyers made the playoffs last year . this stretch with neuvy out should be good for him to get in a rhythm. He's been really good since coming to philly and most fans dont see reason to replace him. Duchene would push cooter down into the bottom 6 which would improve those units drastically.

No you didn't....

2 points in 6 games the last time they made the playoffs. That's not some "clutch" performer. A good playoff performer was Danny Briere.

You haven't proven anything.

Did I say you did? Way to completely miss the point bud.

The Avs have nothing to do with my argument that Wayne Simmonds isn't some massive playoff performer like people are claiming he is. You brought the Avs playoffs into it. Not me.

Again. Reading comprehension is hard.

Let's use an analogy.... I'm saying that Snickers is an overrated chocolate bar. You come in screaming "WHAT ABOUT NESTLÉ CRUNCH BARS HUH?" When I said nothing about Nestlé...

So once again...bud... pay attention to what I'm saying instead of being upset that I'm right.
