GDT: Dry January? How about Drai January! Oilers v Flyers - 7 PM

The Oilers already had Dry October so we can’t afford another dry spell in January.

Instead we need to wish for a Drai January, the month where Leon finally gets serious and starts to play his best hockey.

KK has McLoed playing the best hockey of his life on Leon’s left side and he has undeniable chemistry with Foegele, creating a deadly second line that is firing on all cylinders right now.

Of course Hyman RNH and McDavid look like they’re on a power play everytime they take to the ice and are unquestionably the leagues best line right now.

The bottom 6 are playing effective minutes and contributing with a strong forecheck and defensive game although Brown may never score again after his knee rebuild.

D is playing well too with Dr 9 Two Five earning it, and loving The Viking with The Bomb.

Skinner and Pickard making the saves they need to playing with confidence.

Flyers come into Edmonton losing 4 of their last 5 so Tortorella will be near a coronary and ready to blow. Love his pissed off press conferences.






So let’s hope we get a classic Torts presser because it means we kicked their ass.

Plus the GDT don’t lose….

Flyers haven’t been getting much respect. One local poster recently calling them the ‘worst team in the East’ somehow completely clueless to the fact that at the time he made that comment they were one of the hottest teams in entire league. Sure hope the team doesn’t take the Flyers lightly cause they skate hard and can absolutely hurt you 5on5.

I don't know if he's underwhelming, to me he's just a #4/5 and is just getting too much responsibility right now. Also he's not a great puck mover.

If they Oilers could get a replacement for him, with Kulak going out, sliding Ceci down would really provide some good depth imo.

You have to think that Brown and Erne come out of the line up when Holloway and Gagner are back. Holloway slides in with Kane and Ryan, Gagner with Janmark and Hamblin.

Think it depends on who we are playing. Can see Erne getting into a game like tonight even if those two were healthy.
