I understand there are mixed feelings about this move. I don't know if it was the right move or not but I do think this will lead to player changes (for good or bad). A new guy would be more likely to want a year to evaluate some players himself. At least Drury has seen these guys in the last year up close so he can't say he needs to see anymore before making any moves.

There has been a war between the players and management all year and there was basically a line drawn in the sand, Dolan sat in on the exit interviews, listened to the players comments in the media and followed it up with an extension for Drury, that’s a pretty clear f*** you from the guy who signs the checks to the players with the biggest gripes, if anything it should be an entertaining summer as we wait to see who’s left standing in the aftermath

Having to use Goodrow in 3 straight playoffs where he was the worst NYR skater every time is certainly not breaking even. That’s an error you just can’t correct

People just overlook the fact that Goodrow was f***ing brutal in the playoffs aside from his hot streak, oh and he still got outscored at 5v5 when he was on the ice last season. Goodrow signing was atrocious the moment it was signed.
