Few things went against him this year… missed camp, injuries 2 times. In his words he added too much muscle and slowed him down(not that he’ll ever be blazing fast)…. I think he’s an obvious bet to improve next year. Especially with the right team.

I think senators and blues are perfect fits for him personally.

Curious what Ducks fans think McTavish's best position is. His defensive impact is poor and I'm intrigued by what he could be as a winger. Maybe fits into that Tkachuk archetype. Although not on their level.

I think a lot of the ducks young players have struggled defensively… especially those who have gone through Cronin and Eakins.

I don’t think he’ll win a selke , but I think he can be okay defensively, at least not a negative.

I think he’ll end up a center long term…. This year was more of a result of a lot of things than his norm…. Prob more of a fluke or outlier than an expectation. I think a number of teams will regret passing on him especially if he goes relatively cheap. Prob going to end up pretty similar to zegras, little lower ceiling but a better soldier

He's more Kyle Palmieri than Tkachuk.
