Dreaded Czech U18 Thread

We are in the QF ... complete disaster averted .. but another terrible game from us. What do we want to play in playoff with this?

Its gonna be two smashings now one from Swedes and another from Canada in the QF, and thats it.

It has one advantage. No one counts on us anymore, maybe with the exception of the dreamer czechboy. We can only surprise again.
Of course, it is necessary to support it with a good performance and that somehow does not come..

He is completely misused in this team ... if he was put into line 2 and with a PP time, he would be killing it ... but genius coach Cermak has other plans apparently

Yup.. we had a real reasonable chance of avoiding USA, Canada and Sweden in quarter. We f***ed that up.

Katolický certainly didn't play so badly that he was out of the lineup. And of course, he didn't even get on the power play. A shamefully wasted opportunity for better results for the team.

Which will be end for us, so like nothing much to celebrate

Or maybe this team will start to play at the level they should and we could medal. Because on paper we are not that much behind Canada or Sweden this year. But what we showed so far is like 20% of what this team is capable of lol

I kind of hope that once we have a certain progression, the nervousness will fall off them and hopefully they will show against a strong opponent that they can play hockey. And that we will show by far the best hockey in the tournament. Because I don't believe that we have forgotten how to play hockey in a few months.. But on the other hand, I rather hope for it than really believe it.

Yeah I also hope that we can bring out much better performance against Sweden tommorow, and that the players will actually show that the are on much higher level then those teams some 10-15yrs ago we were used to that were just going to these tournaments to participate.

Hope my hopes wont be shattered by 8:1 thrashing tommorow lol

The way I see it.. we beat Sweden tomorrow. Then probably Finland in quarters. Then USA in semis and then Canada for gold.

Canada in quarterfinals? Best case scenario for Czechs imo and also bye bye Canada lol. Maybe we were up to something with that horrible game agains Germany lmao! Bronze!

Katolicky not even in a lineup lol .. I mean for a long time I havent seen a bigger misuse of a player then here .. really great job Cermak
