Dreaded Czech U18 Thread

I dont understand why Cermak is still the head coach. That guy just cant mentally prepare the players for the championship. Its not normal ... three years in a row playing such shit at U18 ... again same team that dominated the Hlinka .. again they are complete shit now

Its just not normal

I mean this is just ridiculous, how much more the team needs to be stacked? Are we betting against ourselves at U18 every year or what tf is happening.

How the hell is possible that the team is dominating at Hlinkas, and then the same exact team suck so much at U18 WCH .. I really cant understand this

For three years now I cant understand this .. our lineup is getting considerably more stacked every year here lol, yet we play exactly the same shit every year

Not normal this, really not normal

7:1 shots for Germans in the last period .. instead of us showing strenght and push, we are not even playing anyomore

Why am I even watching this lol ... its just pure pain

This is bad. Reminds me of the Kazachstan game last year. Defense is non-existent and Benak, Zahejsky and Rozsvival are the only forwards doing anything.

Just a horrendous showing.

Back to earth. The World Championship is not HGC and we are laughing again after a year. I take back all the predictions about the medal candidates. A completely deserved victory for the Germans over an opponent who was bad. I have nothing more to say.

Why do you care so much, it is just kids playing around. With tired legs and reinforcements coming it was to be expected it will not be ideal showing tonight.
What f***in tired legs? They are athetes they should not have problems to play 2 games in 2 days ffs.

I care cause this will once again ruin draft rankings for many players. its embarassing as hell, and on top of that is extremely infuriating that a team which would just blow Germans like candle in August is now losing to them and looking like the worse team out of the two

I'm just wondering what the finale was supposed to mean, when the players were supposed to come back to prevent a break and both of them literally shit themselves.
Just proof of how we approached the match and how the team is mentally set up.
Hopefully we'll win the play-out.

Yeah I saw It too and was like “wtf why are they not even returning back?” It took a good two seconds for the german player to make that pass yet he still had time to send his teamate into the breakaway situation

Completely given up play, completely given up game. There were parts in the 3rd where we were just standing there and not even movimg in our zone. Just completely given away game

Disgusting game from us once again at U18

Why were the Czechs not celebrating any of their goals? They acted like they were Canada with 10 goals ahead of their opponents.

There is just no fing way that Novotný and Čihař played great against American and Canadian U20 and sucked against German U18, no way in hell! And where was Katolický, did he even play?!

I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts, from the opposing sides view, on the Czech forwards last night.

I think the only time Katolický was even mentioned in our broadcast was when they talked about the line up before the game started.
Novotný, Poletin, Kucharcik and Cihar had their moments and frankly, they should have done a lot more damage. I mean Novotný had three points, but that was one of the more pedestrian three-point-games I have seen.
Rozsival, even though he didn't score, and Zahejský played pretty well I thought. They definitely worried me when they had the puck in our zone.
And Benak was straight up terrifying. I was always relieved when he would pass the puck to a teammate and it wouldn't result in a grade A scoring chance.

Did not really notice any of the forwards much, although I was mostly focused on the German team, so I may have missed a lot of stuff.

Anyway I wish you guys a lot of success the rest of the way. I know I should probably root against you, so we won't end up in a situation where we lose to Switzerland and end up in the relegation round anyway, but I won't. I hope yesterday works as a wake up call and you manage to end up with a medal, when all is said and done.

Sweden Lost to Latvia in a group stage game and still won the gold. Just saying. Its not over until the fat Lady sings
I'm not too worried to be honest. What I hate is that we had a very reasonable chance to avoid Canada, Sweden and USA in quarters. This may feed us to Canada.

Germany has our number. U20 too. You guys played great.

For us.. cihar is disappointing so far. Our D is not playing well. As a group.. I like the forwards a lot. Mrtka has been on a for a few key goals against now too.
