Another great pick by the Kings. This kid is the real deal. 6'4'' 200lbs center that plays both ends with grit to spare. Works hard all over the ice. Great puck protection, solid release and deceptive shot. We will be DROOLING over this kid in 2-3 years. Legit first round talent at least.

With his big frame — Dergachyov is 6’4″, 201 lbs. — he is a player who can add size and grit to any team. In the right situation he can contribute in the points department, but he lacks the true offensive upside that would otherwise allow him to be regarded as a bonafide scoring threat in the NHL.

Better skater. Perhaps all around other not quite as good but close. I wouldn't consider is a horrible comparison. The guy put up 4 pts in WJC last year as 18 year old, not too mention played really well in MHL.

I agree. I love the pick, offence will not be a premium but a forth liner with 3 Rd line upside, amd that is not a slight at him. Kid is huge with speed. Big winger that may allow room for a smaller skilled winger in the bottom 6.
