So could I.He’s certainly not a priority, that’s for sure.
But if he were centering line 2 for 2 years, I could live with it.
Would love to see examples of “stopgap over stopgap” over the better part of a decade, when they had a cup finalist and a 135 point team mixed in there. So could I.
But to what ultimate end?
That's always the question with Sweeney and Neely.
They are a perpetual wheel spinning enterprise.
They look no further than playoff gate.
Hence, stopgap after stopgap after stopgap for the better part of a decade after inheriting a still very capable core.
What are you going to do? These dopes are in charge, and again, they better get it right.
Because if they don't, this tired, played out garbage will finally end with both of them kicked unceremoniously to the curb.
Something SweeNeely/Sinden Lite can understand.
God I am sick of these two.
I’m at the point where I don’t think Desnoyers is a reach pick at 4 at all.I am worried about a trademark Sweneely reach at pick 4 Desnoyers or O'Brien for instance.

Wouldn't it be smart to think about it? First time for everything so yes I hope they are prepared for anything.

Just like offer sheets , things change its a new worldl
I hope they’re considering all options but there’s a reason you don’t see it happen much at all.
The last time a team traded down in the NHL draft was
I have seen almost nothing of him, so that's fair. Still I like the Swedes, who are doing well against stronger competition. Size is almost always overrated. Like a few others, I would prefer major skill over three zone play for this pick.Desnoyers is not a reach at 4. He might be 5 on my list, but he is very much in consideration from 3 on down
Hopefully that Buffalo Philly game is a 3 point OT gamePhillys schedule is kinda easy the rest of the way, hopefully they can pull out 5 points

Again, stopgap.I get it.
I would not be devastated if Sweeney and Neely are moved along. I just don’t expect it.
I guess the Tavares idea is simply him being here for two years to provide the production they hope to get from this first rounder in year 3 and beyond…..of course hopefully by year 4, he’s producing well beyond what a 35+ year old Tavares did.

I did say almost.......Btw, as I watch more think there is a lot there to develop as he is very smart, and has good technique in almost everything, but think he lacks dynamic skating ability, so a reach at 4.Why would you call someone a reach when you admit you have never seen them? Like what LMAO
I don't get the fascination with McQueen. He's big sure but not a prolific scorer and already dealing with injuries. I'm underwhelmed. So do we hold it against a player because he plays a well rounded responsible game?
Do we ignore Desnoyers simply because I will never be able to properly pronounce his name.I mean do we ignore him because he plays a responsible 200 foot game, despite the fact he's one of the best offensive players in the draft.
Like I look at what Desnoyers has actually done on the ice, and McQueen has never come close to producing at the same level, yet people talk about an elite ceiling for him Just because he is 3 inches taller.
Eklund of course is the non center who is the most explosive player and he is 161 pounds.
