Thats not a bad pick at 16.

Crouse reminds me of so many power forwards in the mid to late 90s who under perform in their draft year and convince teams that it's only a matter of time until they put the pieces together. And rarely did they ever really put the pieces together.

USA looks good but their lack of scoring is just killing me.

Yeah, but what's their corsi? :sarcasm:

Julie Johnston has been incredible so far tonight. She's gonna put one of those set pieces home soon. Bring in Leroux in the 65th minute for O'Hara. Bring in Wambach for Rodriguez in the 80th minute. Win 1-0.

I have to ask... I see even players now getting jerseys with their name handed to them. Do teams just have 15 jerseys with them? Or do they heatpress the name on the jersey in the 3 minutes they have to announce the pick?

People got way too excited over these Dreger tweets this whole week. We also have no context on what else they would have to give up or taking back a bad contract with a first round pick.

He was offered a first rounder. You take it. Don't play around.

I'm not buying he was offered SJ's first rounder.

And there's still time to see if we was offered a first rounder in this draft.

I'm not one to openly criticize a reporter's stories, but I've had more than a few reservations about DD's reports from the past few days.

The Sabres are going to be very, very good soon. They have a very mobile-D. A ton of nice, young pieces up front. If Lehner hits his potential, look out.

They need to sign Oduya this off-season. 2 year deal. They'll make the playoffs in year 2 of that deal. Will battle for sure this season.

Quick and to the point rebuild. Good job all around in Buffalo.

Meanwhile, in Edmonton...

Dallas on the clock. We'll see if we are trading with them. Talbot and Klein for 12 overall.

The next Todd Bertuzzi or the next John LeClair.

he was allegedly offered a first, but we also don't know what else if anything was involved. Maybe it was Talbot, Hags and our 2nd for a middle 1st...

We also dont know that the 1st was for this year.

A lot of teams bring a box full of jerseys with names on them, based on their top guys.

It's a minuscule expense for them.

DD has definitely been way off and he looks like he is...impaired...tonight. He went from Dallas to SJ to EDM to back to SJ to back to EDM. He is chasing tails.

Because Sather, man. Something good happens? Gorton/Clark's doing. Something bad happens? Sather's fault. Something good doesn't happen? Sather's fault. Player injury? Sather's fault, should have had more foresight. Everyone's talking like they've been a part of the entirety of the Talbot talks and know exactly how they progressed and who said what/who offered what.
