I’m still on cloud nine after our first round last night. As a long time fan of Jeopardy! and more specifically Alex Trebek, that honestly was one of the coolest and most memorable moments of my life as a Sens fan. They absolutely knocked it out of the park and I had to pinch myself that it was actually happening. We are so accustomed to cringey moments as sens fans, I just couldn’t be more proud this morning to call the sens my team.

So pumped for today!

Tankaton's mock draft hit the bull's eye by slotting Greig in the 28th spot.

I like "elite" 3rd and 4th line guys. Pageau and Kadri are elite 3rd line centers, in my opinion. Chris Neil was an elite 3rd/4th liner as well. And sometimes they surprise and become more than that.

These guys are highly sought players and their skillsets are easier to project. There's lots of ways to win. They never break the bank.

Once the stars are gone, I would draft these guys until the cows come home.

If I heard correctly Dorion mentioned being stacked on the left side with Chabot, Sanderson and Brannstrom, so it seems they’re sticking to their guns on Brannstrom playing left.

I heard the same and was dissapointed in that comment.

Let Brannstrom play where he's comfortable.

I think 5 but im only 100% on the first 4.

1. Laf
2. Stutzle
3. Byfield
4. Sanderson

Drysdale and Quinn were others in that group around 5. @bert had the Quinn info.

I don’t see any info that confirms this. All the DET / Perf info was obviously incorrect. No reason yet to think the Sens had Quinn at 5 over Raymond.

Colangelo and then Tuch. Peterman could be interesting but the other two are big and nasty with skill. Hard to play against and will bring sandpaper to our lineup.
And Brannstrom to the RD please.

I would hope the Sens devote today to shoring up the right side. Gunler would be a big first step in fulfilling that need. For a guy who was slotted at #23 in the consolidated ranking, it's a huge surprise to many that he didn't go in the first round. Ottawa can steal this guy with 33, unless the Wings spoil their chance.

I'd be quite surprised if the Sens took him if there.

I'm satisfied with our haul last night. Still need to learn more about Greig.

Only little blip...it would've been nice to move 2 or 3 of those 2nds for another first. But that's just a lil blip.

I feel like there is a plan in place to build a hard to play against team.

Don't know too much about these players, but from what I've read and heard is that all of these players are hard working and play a tough game. And honestly, I'll take hard working with skill over elite skill and lazy any day. To me that just means that they will work hard on both ends of the ice, which I think gives us a way better team in the end. Obviously we will see how it shakes out, but Tkachuk and Stutzle excite me!

This is kind of a a random question but what was the debit machine looking like device Dorion was tapping on last night? Was it just a big charger for his phone and he types like a grandma with one finger?

Guys I’d like to see drafted by the Sens in the second:
Peterka
Mysak
Chromiak
Khusnuditnov
Bordeleau
Wallinder
Grans
O’Rourke

I’d like to see Ottawa take a flyer on Poirier too with a late second if he’s still there. Total project of a player but why not if we stayed with 4 picks in the second.

Not privy to the conversations Dorion had, but can't help but feel there was a missed opportunity to move up to 21 to take Lapierre/Foerster with the Blue Jackets going way off the board taking Chinakhov, especially since they don't have a 2nd.
Dorion said they tried to move up but would up with the player they were looking to move up to get.

Dear god please no Poirier. Dude is the 2nd coming of Ceci and some how worse in his end.
I have seen more than one prospect expert muse about Poirier eventually moving to forward. Stay far away.

Funny fact

Per Pierre Mcguire. Greig and Sanderson's father were teammate in Hartford.

At 33 i want one of Peterka, Bourque or Mysak, Grans, Wallinder or Marat Kusnutdinov.

Colangelo, Evangelista, Foudy are all interesting options in the later half of the second if they are still there, maybe Stanges and Kleven.
