Take solace in the fact that Gorton is making this selection and not Sather. The worst part about the 2010 draft is that I knew what was coming, but I was in denial about it until it actually happened. Then I just sat in stunned silence for 20 minutes after throwing my TV remote against the wall and shattering it.

Damn I kinda wish I was on this site back then based on these stories
Neither would I. Have their been any reports from beat writers or anyone hinting at which way the Rangers might be leaning?
Can we like ... not talk about that draft anymore? The worst part about the 2010 draft is that I knew what was coming, but I was in denial about it until it actually happened. Then I just sat in stunned silence for 20 minutes after throwing my TV remote against the wall and shattering it.
He doesn't make the final call though, and for every McIlrath, I can show Chytil. Ultimately, it comes down to the head honcho, and Gorton's draft record is pretty damn good so far.Gordo Clark head of scouting for both drafts
I'm not sure most of this is as doable as you may think... I just dont see Edmonton trading the 10th for that small of a return. Zucc alone for the 13th is probably not enough for a player who is already 30 years old. The last trade may pan out, but only if a player they like falls to that range.Trade Spooner and a 3rd to Oilers for 10 and Lucic
Trade Zucc to Dallas for 13
Package 26/and NJ’s 2nd for 15-20
4 picks top 20. And still a pick at 28 where you swing for the fences
Then with the first two picks draft Tkachuk or Zadina (moving up if you have to), And one of the top 4 D. Then pick Farabee and Kravtsov
My dream scenario. Best part is it’s doable
"So far" is a very small sample size. This is arguably the most important draft in rangers history. He'll get my bode of confidence once he aces this draft, including potential trades. He doesn't make the final call though, and for every McIlrath, I can show Chytil. Ultimately, it comes down to the head honcho, and Gorton's draft record is pretty damn good so far.
I thought that's where your avatar photo came from.
Really interesting analysis that highlights what this guy thinks to be a low hockey IQ and bad defensive fundamentals from Bouchard. If you like Bouchard, you should probably skip this video.
Agree. He doesn't make the final call though, and for every McIlrath, I can show Chytil. Ultimately, it comes down to the head honcho, and Gorton's draft record is pretty damn good so far.
Yeah, he's gonna fall....
Fair, but I remain optimistic. It's really hard for a good GM like Gorton to f*** up with 3 1sts."So far" is a very small sample size. This is arguably the most important draft in rangers history. He'll get my bode of confidence once he aces this draft, including potential trades.
Very interesting.
Wilde has been pretty high for me most of the season, but his second half definitely had him falling from grace a little.
Legitimately laughed out loud. Well done.I thought that's where your avatar photo came from.
Very raw kid, could be a physical offensive defender, but needs to put it together yet. I think his game would've translated better in the NCAA, but I don't like this decision from him, especially if it's the AHL. We'll see what happens....
That's weird.
That is a SOLID video highlighting some red flags.
I was on an airplane listening to the draft and I was not all that upset. I wasn’t following the draft that closely in those days (I was still working) A friend who was then scouting for an NHL team had told me McIlrath was in their first round mix. Little did I know. That was a legendary night on HFNYR for all the wrong reasons.
