Fair but I think you know you'll need to get a good DFD to pair with Brunicke, so I wouldn't mind prioritizing getting a guy like that to hopefully lock in your 2nd pair long-term. Being able to pull off a guy like Guhle to set up your 2nd pair to be Guhle-Brunicke for the next decade would be really nice to accomplish.

I don’t think we need a DFD to pair with Brunicke. His game is a two way guy. It’s why I don’t mind Girard playing with him.

I'd much rather go for McTavish than most of the ideas I see. At least that would be trying to get a young center.
Agreed. 6.02, 220 pounds and turned 23 years old. I mean he is exactly the type of player we need to target. Look at Zegras, a change of scenery was what he needed, probably the same with Mason.

I think he had a great year in 2025. I don't see much fantastic about his year last year. It was fine.

He is a very up and down player who vacillates between good to very good seasons and down seasons and has some dietary/health issues that cause him to miss games pretty consistently. He is on a good contract and has some position flexibility. He is 33.

I don't think I am underrating him at all. I think he is what he is. That isn't bad but I don't think he is drawing a first, anymore. But Dubas has pants'd other GMs before so maybe he does again I dunno.

People are very weird about the complimentary players on this team. This team hasn't done diddly in a longggggggggg time. I do not understand the sentiment if I am being honest.
Are you really shitting on a 24-24-48 season from a guy that broke his hand blocking a shot and missed 22 games because of it?

Super future captain Rusty Trombone scored 29 last season, who missed 12 games, 3 of which were for a stupid head shot suspension.

Pens might be the only team that can/will take on EP40's entire contract. With an owner like the Aquilini's, that might mean trading him away for nearly nothing

He had a career year and was 24 at the time if the trade. I get you don't like him, but only Crosby on the Pens had more pts than him last season. Didn't cost the flyers much either. I would 100% trade for McTavish if the price is affordable

Neat. Bad players have good seasons.

He’s a total clown. f*** that kid. I’d be fine exploring a McTavish trade, but he’s going to be playing wing not center and his foot speed is a huge concern.
