Has anyone ever seen something called deflected off the glove? It's always been a hand pass. They literally made up a rule.
I'm not completely upset over that call, it could have went either way. Truthfully I knew when they didn't call it on the ice they weren't going to reverse their decision in the review because it would admit they messed up.
It's a tough call though, and I'm inclined to agree with it, a hand pass normally is directing the puck in a direction or drastically changing the direction of the puck, he definitely did try and bat it down or something but it just nicked off the top of the glove so their reasoning was fine with me. An example we see often enough is when a player clears the puck out of the zone and the defenseman tries to stop it with their hand, it tips off the glove but continues down the ice, they don't blow it a hand pass there when the goalie or another player gets it.
We sucked ass anyway and didn't deserve to win.
