I would consider Trocheck also...move 8 and 55..and Igor...25-30 million in cap space and 3ea 1st rders then restock roster with playoff players with the cap space and draft more Cuylee's
Tro is fine, he's starting off a little colder than last year but at least the guy can produce at ES, and has a very team friendly cap hit. He also looks like he cares most of the time unlike Kreider.

Kreider sucked ass again.

For the love of god Drury move him in the summer. Team is going nowhere with “leadership” like him. Shows up once every 7 games.

Wasn't only him tho. Look at the TOI overall: Lavi leaned heavy on the vets in a game it was obvious they didn't care to break a sweat. Sure, the refs and Toronto got their punches in too but that was a pathetic effort by the coaches and 'leaders' on the ice.

Has anyone ever seen something called deflected off the glove? It's always been a hand pass. They literally made up a rule.

I believe it was also called 2-3 days ago but I can't remember the play. First time I ever saw it.

Ok, it was this play which is definitely different as that's an accidental deflection off a glove and not someone intentionally trying to play the puck.

You're right, he wasn't the only vet who decided to not show up, but he should be the guy who steps up, he very very rarely does. It's so infrequent that we usually can remember the games he does.

I've been sick of the rotting core for awhile.

I'm not completely upset over that call, it could have went either way. Truthfully I knew when they didn't call it on the ice they weren't going to reverse their decision in the review because it would admit they messed up.

It's a tough call though, and I'm inclined to agree with it, a hand pass normally is directing the puck in a direction or drastically changing the direction of the puck, he definitely did try and bat it down or something but it just nicked off the top of the glove so their reasoning was fine with me. An example we see often enough is when a player clears the puck out of the zone and the defenseman tries to stop it with their hand, it tips off the glove but continues down the ice, they don't blow it a hand pass there when the goalie or another player gets it.

We sucked ass anyway and didn't deserve to win.

Yup. A lot of us have been saying for years that the "A's" tend to glide around the ice waiting for the next PP so they can get their nightly point(s) and go home.

Here
In the rulebook it states that a deflection off a glove is NOT a handpass, but its literally ALWAYS called as a handpass.

I cant remember an instance when a puck has even tipped off a glove and taken by a teammate where they did not blow it dead.

And this is the problem with goal reviews in general. They put on the headphones and connect with Toronto for a galaxy-brain session and over-analyze the situation.

The puck hit the guys glove and a teammate touched it. Even he knew it shouldve been blown dead because he slowed up and almost let a Ranger touch it first.

Officiating is a joke in this league, nothing new here.

It says 12 million reasons to resign him.
That is a lot of money for Quick. :D

best team save% in the league.

the Rangers are also dead last in Power plays.
I have things called non hustle plays in my mind. When I see penalties like hooking and tripping they are usually plays from guys reaching and not moving their legs. Same thing for power plays. Teams that move their legs get more calls.

The only time I've ever seen it not called is if the player has both hands on his stick and clearly isn't trying to play the puck, like it just hits him as he's skating or something.

This had complete intent, the player took his hand off his stick with the purpose of playing the puck and it hit his hand and went to his teammate. It's literally called a hand pass 99% of the time, so much so that two other plays that were almost identical later in the same game were whistled down for hand passes. His own teammate almost didn't play the puck bc he thought it was a hand pass.

The fact this was reviewed and upheld is a complete farce.

And the gall to give Trocheck a penalty because he complained. What a f***ing prick that ref was.
