Doughty got huge minutes in all situations on a playoff team, and played great at the 4 Nations.

I'd rather Doughty mentor our next generation of defensemen than Karlsson.

Fair. But f***, we're not even in the playoffs, and the Oilers are kind of known for having some other worldly offensive players that could make Slavin look silly.

I think people are crazy here if I could add Karlsson for a year at LEAGUE MINIMUM to run the leafs top pp I’d pay a lot. He absolutely is not “burnt to a crisp” he is probably a better Dman then Morgan Rielly or someone like Jared Spurgeon
