Speculation: Dorion/Chevy meeting today

I don't want either, don't think the Jets need either one really. Hope Duchene goes to Nashville or St. Louis via trade.

If we trade for Duchene, it's our 1st 2019, Comrie, Petan and Tanev, plus a conditional 1st 2020 if Duchene signs with Winnipeg.

I'd do this if the new deal isn't absurd...Comrie won't clear waivers next year and neither will Petan, Tanev is gone anyway and 2019 is assumed. We give up Tanev from our roster and he is replaced on the roster by Duchene.

I know Stone is the local boy (and the better player) but wouldn't it make way more sense for the Jets to pick up what would be an elite 2C rather than another RW? I know they said recently that they are happy to go into the playoffs with Little at 2C, but picking up Stastny last year tells a different story. Little's production is up a bit from last year, but not the point where they should be turning down Duchene.

Stone would add an elite 2way forward into that lineup, which they are lacking vs high end offensive players.
