Trades are hard, but waiving Hayes 25 games ago was easy. It would have sent a message to the team that they need to play to keep their spots.

Hayes has played 3 games since New Years.

And none in the last two weeks.

The fact that management is hiding is an embarrassment. Playing this war against the media is a joke. Not talking to the media is like not talking to fans, the ones that pay to watch these jokes play

Don Sweeney should be on thinner ice than he is imo, I like his eye for young players but he's made poor showings in the pro department and it's cost the team and the time they should spend trying to rebuild.

But I do wonder if it's just the Jacobs crew pushing unreal expectations.

He should be gone, plain and simple. Beleskey, Backes, Miller, Mcquaid. The list of contracts just keeps going and going. On the other hand, those are all neely type of players.

Just fire the lot of them, everyone. Start fresh, star new.

You know I was sitting around with about fourteen Bruins fan friends of mine at the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street in Medford and combined we have 4,000 years of fandom between us and we all agree that it's laughable how many people on here blindly defend Sweeney when it's obvious his multi-year contracts are all going to handcuff this team for years.

People outside of this forum can't believe people can't see what's happening with this team.

Honestly if we could just make him the scouting director I would be cool with that. I love how the prospect pool has been restocked the past two years, but pretty much all his trades and most of his signings...eww

I was all for riding out the year with julien and making moves as they come and in the offseason. But they need to drop a hammer for the good of the short term, but really in the long term view as well. Let someone step in as an interim coach to close out the year and build build build.

Relieve Neely of his duties, demote Sweeney to director of scouting, fire sale some guys , maybe get rid of Claude but replace him with someone who's going to help develop young guys now and win later - not just anyone

Trade chara, draft high.

I hope this ...... stretch opens their eyes and we finally see a good, helpfull trade deadline for this team, sell sell sell finally.

Last year they played 15 games against non playoff teams and were fighting for #1 in the division and made the excuse can't sell because they were so good. Even when it was clear they weren't going to do any damage in the playoffs and ended up hurting the team more, again.

But you have to ask how the .... did this management get this team so wrong, Backes signed in Boston because there's a win now mentality and they look like garbage.

Not a huge surprise.

The same group doggedly defended the Hamilton, Seguin, and Thornton trades (I know a different management group) even though the entire rest of the league, and close to 8 of 10 here pan it.

I mean this kind of defense was even made for Mike O'Connell for heavens sake. He was a terrible GM.

I don't see how it is possible to defend this Management Group at all but I do allow that Don Sweeney may not have been given the fair amount of time to work with.

You can't do much in a couple of years. But as of now, he really hasn't done much to help the cause at all.

As much as I disagree with the bias, pro management stance, I have talked hockey with many of these fans for years, and I know for a fact that many are great folk.

I also defend their right to their own opinion, as this is an opinion based forum.

Respect.

This^ but go all out. Trade: Chara, Krejci, McQuaid, Hayes, liles, Morrow, KMiller or McQuaid kept one of them, get A backup

Put Spooner at #2 C and tell him earn it and earn a real contract or get moved.

Maybe the 15 of you can buy the team and run it?

GM's defer to the head of scouting for the draft. It's the scouts list and call on the picks. GM makes the signings and the trades.

Judge him on those moves.

I like Sweeney but he hasn't made a trade for an NHL player or signed one that isn't overpaid or good that I can think of.
