After playing like 8 games in 6 days, we're now sitting here until Thursday.

Love you always, NHL.
Pretty difficult to get any "flow" to their game when this crap is happening, seemingly in bi-weekly intervals.
3 games in 4. Does anyone EXPECT "Any team" to sweep all 3 games when players "hold back a little", (Maybe the 2nd game) and become exhausted on the 4th day etc.?
The NHL is setting up players to be injured more frequently than normal. No stat for that, but it just has to be, (common sense tells me so) and moreover has to STOP. (or, at least be minimalized)

Hijack (OT) Does everyone know what happened to Vitali "now"?

Is there a viable replacement for Trouba on PP2? Maddening.

Key is still fighting the puck, but he looks so much better when he plays with a little nastiness. He has the strength to manhandle most Fs and completely stifles plays when he chooses to use it. He also has the skating to just ride people into the boards without taking a penalty. It's a pleasure to see that side of him coming out a bit more frequently.

Trouba isn't a viable option so i'd be fine with anything.
how he continues to get chances on pp2 is just crazy. Guy can not handle the puck and 99 percent of his shots either get blocked or go wide. To make matters worse (we saw it in playoffs) if he fumbles puck and turns it over no way is he catching the opponent. Why not Miller since they won't dress Jones?

I thought they were great tonight protecting the front of the net, especially Schneider, who had like 4 breakups, helping Shesty out
I had to (reluctantly) take a start of the game from Goodrow and give it to Schneider.

Galaxy-brain strategy by Gallant to have them suck eggs in the first period to get Igor in a rhythm before taking control of the game. Egghead Trotz could never be that brilliant
This strategy is obviously what's led to Shesterkin's Vezina performance last year. Only us idiots here were asking for team's quick start that is obviously detrimental in win / loss considerations.

im sure i complain about the sched every season but it feels especially shitty this season

Key needs to stop trying to be Niedermayer and be more Stevens. Fox will handle the offense, you need to shut mfs down and rough em up a bit. Although i think Key is too much of a pretty boy to get really down and dirty, at least use your size and reach to make it difficult on opponents.

Miller doesn't have it in him to rough people up like Stevens

you guys are giving me whiplash with these horrid Miller takes

first he needs to go the AHL, then he's a top 4 staple, then he sucks and has a low IQ, then he's our best defenseman and will be more important than Fox (yeah some of you said that in the playoffs, don't lie), then he'll win a norris before Fox does again, now he sucks again

I know the board is inherently reactionary and is 55% whatever sewage flows through the really hollow dome that is our brains but like 70% of you are truly and utterly insufferable and need a f***ing hobby

nobody in this current NHL does besides maybe a really annoyed Wilson

Stevens came close to actually killing people

How about this: Miller is our second best all-around defensemen and should get PP2 time over Trouba. I think we can all agree?

The closest defenseman to Stevens in the league currently is Miller's D partner. If Trouba played in the 90s and could get away with what some of those D did we'd be talking about him on that level. Case in point the penalty he took "roughing" Maccelli last night. Jeff Beukeboom would do that 3 times every shift.
