Does it feel like 'it's happening' to anyone else?

One thing I like about how this seems to be coming together, is that there's still lots of help on the way. Detroit has a top prospect pool with high picks trending the right way like Danielson, COssa and ASP. They also have a lot of the wild card, later round picks that they'll probably get a player or two out of as well. Compared to a team like Ottawa who are a comparable team, all their horses are in the league and they look comparable to Detroit. They wings look like theyre a little depth scoring short of a really good team

Whether all the help makes it to the wings, or it can be used to trade for more NHL ready help. Its a good problem to have.

All the talk about the wings being short a superstar need to stop with how good Raymond is, and Seider for that matter. They have 2 superstars already.
It's amazing how over a section of games, and I'll give an arbitrary number here (5), Raymond continues to look better and better. We have all been watching his growth rapidly increase since the middle of last season. Last year I would have been happy with a 70+, two way winger, who was clearly clutch. I really think we are just now seeing his true potential, and he's a game breaker.

Let's not overlook the fact that, among our regular forwards, we have only 2 that are in the black in the plus/minus Stat- Compher at +4, and Copp at +2. I know we expect more from them based on their contracts, but they do provide value to the team.

Let's not overlook the fact that, within the plus/minus Stat, DeBrincat is the worst on the team at -14. I know he produces on the PP, but 5x5, he isn't very good.
Or Dcat was on the ice for a large percentage of the empty net situations while the team was losing..........

As much as I've been rooting for Copp lately, the team still needs an upgrade at that 2C slot. I'm only cheering for Copp because I want the team to win, I still think he sucks. Not sure if Danielson is the answer.

Considering they seemingly was working on a Cozens trade. Seems they might look externally to sort that 2C slot, at least short term until Kasper or Danielson is ready for that.

The emergence of AlJo has been key for me to feel good about where the team is. As far as I know, there isn't another team in the league with a defensive trio in their 20's doing the heavy lifting...and looking pretty competent doing it.

I'm being told there's an update to this topic from our holiday correspondent... and here's the latest for whether it is indeed happening:

Same, he's the best option we have for now but an upgrade would be nice. If not Danielson, I don't really see anyone else on the team stepping up and being a more productive 2C than Copp has been. Worth riding out for the time being because we're winning and Kane is likely back soon. Kane was on a tear before injury, hoping he comes back with similar production.

Danielson, as good as I think he will eventually be, needs to stay in GR right now. He hasn't produced much recently, and the Griffs had a horrible weekend. He needs to plays some more things out down there.

I could see him hitting the big squad next year in a similar fashion to how Kasper did this year.
