When does Trotz pull the plug on Brunette?

The only reason Trotz would fire him at this point is if he thought Bruno was doing harm to the development of the kids. Since Trotz has traded/waived away most of the kids, i think Trotz is quite on board with what Bruno has been doing.

I agree there's no point in firing him now, but if Trotz keeps him going into next year, I will likely not buy a single ticket.
I do have to wonder how things like ticket/merch sales and TV viewership are doing. I live far away so rarely get to a game in person anymore but I’ve gone from watching every game to maybe a 1/3 or so. My brother and dad are more casual fans typically who watch 1/2 the games or so in a typical season and I don’t think they’ve watched a game since December.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I was shocked at how cheap you can get into a game now. I looked at the Ottawa game and you were getting in for $16 a seat. I don't have much interest in going, as I assume a lot of people don't...but it's cheap enough that you can turn that into a family outing now.

Tickets: $16
Fees: $30
Parking: $20
Beer and Hot Dog: $40
Watching Justin Barron spend half the game behind the other team's net? Priceless

Yeah there is no reason to keep Bruno next year but agreed he can stay this season. It's too late to fix it but slightly annoyed that those media folks saying in December to give it more time are now using words like "inexplicable" to describe the season.

Actually a lot us saw this in November. The roster and the coaching don't match.

And we gave away our third best d man for nothing.

It's hilariously sad how no one in Preds media or our organization realized we actually just sucked until recently. So many people seemed to think because we rebounded after a slow start last year we'd be able to do it again, but it was pretty clear from the get go this team was going to be bad. Last season we were blowing third period leads early on in the season where as this one we were pretty much out of the game by the third period which are drastically different situations.

What I find disturbing is just before Trotz came out and said we weren't buyers all the radio hosts and podcast people said the day before it was time to sell. As if they got the ok to say it.

I miss Michael Gallagher. That dude was a real reporter and wasn't afraid to ruffle feathers.

Michael is currently out for personal reasons. Some health stuff. He said he’ll be back once he’s past all that. I don’t listen to the flagship station so I can’t speak to his daily radio show but Vingan is the other guy that always seems to have the correct observations about what is going on and actually says it. He does a podcast with Braden Gall weekly and that’s where I hear his takes.

They must be on a pod cast because Vingan certainly pretty reserved on the radio show. Now he did at least tiptoe around something wasn't right a couple of weeks ago, but he certainly seemed to know not to go too far with it on air. Of course Willie and DMason were still acting like things were just all bad luck.

Let be honest, our media is mostly all owned by the Preds in some way, and we don't really have any form of legacy media that would ruffle feathers to sell a paper or get viewership.
