Does Boston go full rebuild or do they try and do a quick turn around?

If Boston goes full rebuild what is McAvoy worth?

They won’t move Charlie, pasta or Swayman. I imagine they try to do what Washington did and retool but tbh I’m not sure I see it happening. Lots of teams try that but few actually succeed

Call the Rags and tell Drury to offer up something that isn't damaged goods and AHLers.

Think they try to retool with Pasta, McAvoy, Swayman.

Quite a bit of money to throw around in FA
They were able to retool a decade ago as they did awesome in the draft with Pasta and MacAvoy as cornerstones in 14 and 16.
Will need to hit big again to do another retool.

The free agents do look very good this year and unlike Buffalo players will want to go to Boston

Dylan Larkin for McAvoy. The good old randoms we used to see happening when a team addressed their weaknesses thinking they weren’t creating another.

Boston has a ton of cap space for next year, but also a lot of players to pay/sign.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Boston retool quickly and be back in the playoffs, but I don't think Sweeney is the man for the job.

The free agency class is absolutely brutal this year outside of Marner. But if Boston wants more Elias Lindholms then by all means.

I think Boston will keep Pasta, McAvoy, and Swayman as core for rebuild of team next season.
However, IF after adding pieces next season doesn't go well, all bets are off and I wouldn't rule out any/all of them wanting to play for a contender in their back nine.

Feel the B's can retool and be fairly fine for next season. No need to throw in the towel and go full rebuild yet.

Healthy McAvoy/Lindholm, as bad as the Bruins have been I'd bet they'd be in a wild card spot right now if these 2 weren't hurt.
No offseason drama (Swayman)
Geekie-Lindholm-Pasta seems to be finding some chemistry of late.

Let's not forget they'll be coming into next season with hopefully a new coaching staff also. Sacco shouldn't be anywhere near a head coach spot.

Have some $$ to spend also. But really would only be interested in taking a run at Marner or bringing back Marchand from that. Bennett also, but feel he's gonna get his pay day & not sure how that one will age.
