lol Dodgers have 2 no hitters in one season... Most people didn't get to see it happen.

Rating from the game, 0.06 which is about 52,000 viewers who had TW were able to watch it. :shakehead

More people watched the final inning once it was picked up by the MLB network later than anyone with TW. That's 2 no hitters in the same season that basically nobody saw because the Dodgers new owners decided to chase the tv dollars.

It would've been pretty cool if he did it when the cup was there the night before. The boys would've gone nuts.

I used to call the Kings the Clippers of the NHL with how poorly the front office handled business.

Never thought I would see the day when on the Lakers message boards I visit I would see threads praising the Kings ownership and hoping the Lakers can rebuild like the Kings have.

Apparently if the Buss family decided to sell the team AEG has first rights to buy those shares, many were openly hoping for the Busses to sell so AEG could buy them and return them to glory.

Bizzaro world indeed!

As long as there are two Buss's running the team , with different ideas how to do it, they will be a mess. Jennie being with Phil Jackson all these years probably hasn't helped either.

I've been enjoying the World Cup, but my God, soccer players are the biggest pansies in professional sports. I've seen more toughness displayed from Olympic gymnasts.
That varies from country to country and league to league. It's why I prefer the English and German games, where they're less tolerant of such antics. They still happen, of course, but not quite as blatantly.

That is very true. Seeing how well the South Americans and Spaniards are at diving, you'd expect their Olympic diving team to be among the best in the world.

Too bad the English lads got eliminated today. They never meet expectations, even when they're pretty low. They're actually a bit like the Toronto of international football: they think of it as "their game," it's all tied up with their national identity (it was formalized in England, after all), but they just aren't any good anymore.

It's not quite official but they are on life support. Costa Rica must win or draw tomorrow to eliminate them.

This has been going on from at least the '70s when my friends and I would laugh at the acting going on when these guys go down.

Nothing ever changes.

I don't know, I think the Canadiens could give either of these teams a run for their money.

Welcome to Jim Buss' world: full of inferiority complex towards Phil Jackson and his own sister, Jeanie; never mind the fact Jeanie was and still is the most active Buss child even before Dr. Jerry's death and Jim himself was and still is purposely cutting off connections from the Phil Jackson Era out of spite.

As for that guy, wearing a cowboy hat in L.A., the local Mexican community I live in would dismiss him as "chunti" or "naco"; bonus points if he's blasting some Los Tigres del Norte, Los Tucanes de Tijuana or some other narcocorrido banda on his Hummer H2.

So, how much will LeBron get as a UFA? Eighteen years ago the Lakers made their biggest free agent signing when they landed Shaq. Think they have what it takes to make a splash on June 30?
