Well, that's good to hear, especially if you're a laker fan. I was just going off of Embiid's numbers 11/8/2, which doesn't exactly scream 1st overall!

On a sidenote, I like the idea of Lebron going back to CLE.

Embiid's a joke! Watched a few of Kansas's games this year just to see the hype and I know it's a hand full of games but this guy is the second coming of a nothing. I seriously don't get the hype. Has injury issues already and I hope Cleveland drafts him and watch him flame out like Oden. That's what they get for botching the Paul trade to the Lakers. If the Lakers get top three I see them holding on but now at seven I think thel'll look to trade. Just my opnion.

I hope he does. :naughty:

its possible, he has same agent as Kobe, said his favorite player is Kobe, has spent time with Kobe, and has been working out in LA since the allstar break.

kid wants to be a Laker but all things considered highly doubt he drops to 7 without some serious backroom strong-arming and even then its not up to him.

I don't know why anyone would want draft eligible players to demand to be drafted by only one team or refuse to report to a place that drafted them. It's awful when it happens in any league, even if it is to the benefit of your favorite team.

I'm currently watching Heat vs Pacers, and that Miami nWo is just having a vengeance vs the Pacers...4 LIFE! 84-77, 4th Quarter, 1:30 left.

Please, Heat will 3peat...4 LIFE!

Anyone see the story about Alex Guerrero and Miguel Olivo getting into an altercation in Albuquerque? Scott Boras said Guerrero will miss 5 weeks after getting part of his ear bit off. Yikes!

He's making 8 million dollars a year to have his ear bit off in the minors. He was raking too. And Dee Gordon is slumping. Bad timing.

My question (well one of them), is how is he gonna miss 5 weeks??? The whole ear better be gone...stitch that thing back on and tape it down, good to go.

The article said he had to have plastic surgery on the ear. 5 weeks does seem a little long though.

Even though the Lakers wound up unto a lottery team in the 2013-14 NBA season, I'm glad they're planning for the long term.

Also, the first-EVER Lakers game I attended to was vs. New York Knickerbockers. :naughty:

Love this...

When Shaquille O'neal was drafted into the NBA, he spent the first million that he earned within 30 minutes. O'neal then received a phone call from his banker, who scolded him, and told him that he would end up joining the list of former athletes who ended up broke if the current trend continued.

O'neal decided to sharpen up his education on business and finance. He returned to college, completing his Bachelor's degree, followed by his M.B.A, and lastly, his Ed.D. That's right, he is now Dr. Shaquille O'neal.

As of today, Shaq is the joint owner of 155 Five Guys Burgers restaurants, 17 Auntie Annie's Pretzels restaurants, 150 car washes, 40 24-hour fitness centers, a shopping center, a movie theater, and several Las Vegas nightclubs.

In addition to his business holdings, O'neal still earns $22 million per year (roughly $423,000 per week) from his endorsement deals with Arizona Creme soda, Icy Hot, Gold Bond, Buick, Zales, and at least a half dozen additional corporate sponsors. He is also a studio analyst for TNT.

In Shaq's own words, "It is not about how much money you make. The question is are you educated enough to KEEP it."

Say what you want about the guy, he is very smart. Great advice from his banker.

Cavaliers win draft lottery and they'll screw it up again. How's Anthony Bennett doing for you Cleveland. Yeah draft Embiid and watch him become Greg Oden 2!

I believe that was 3 out of the last 4 years they have won the lottery and they did it this year with only a 1.7% chance of winning.

Kind of wonder if the NBA gave them a nudge, nudge, wink, wink a few years back when they lost LeBron by saying we'll give you a few number 1 overall picks as a sort of compensation.

Apparently, it is a pretty deep draft with good talent available early into the 2nd round according to some guys who cover college ball.

It just sucks having someone with a 1.7% chance of winning pushes the Lakers to 7 in a draft where there are 6 clear game changers. I kind of think the NBA wants James back in Cleveland to make things right again. The story will go on for years. The prodigal son.

I kind a think Lebron wants to go back to CLE and rebuild the bridges that he'd burned on his way out. That would be interesting...

James has straight up said he's interested in it at the end of his contract with Miami. He said they need to be competitive. That's part of my conspiracy.:)

NBA is a joke league anyhow. There's no parady, you already know who's going to be in the finals most of the time.
