If you’re an Anaheim fan I would. Anaheim finally has the two best players available this deadline with Lindholm and Rakell. Not to mention Deslauriers who’s getting a lot of buzz as well

I think I'll stay longer at work. Cause the heat usually begins at our european early evening time and 3 little children at home wouldn't let me follow it.

I used to take the day off from school/university. These days, I have access to my phone or a computer fairly regularly as a teacher, so there is no need.

I don't plan to, no.

I mean I could think of a million reasons to not be here, but I don't think I've ever specifically had the trade deadline in mind as a reason to bail on this place.

lol I actually thought about it..... then remembered those years where nothing happens for 3 hours and all you have is 12 trios of tired journalists repeating the same things and passing the puck to each other. might just work with it in the background

No lol. Shit is a slog for 90% of the day. As other have said, with technology nowadays it's way easier to consume what occurred. I wfh anyways so I can likely just throw it up in the background anyways

I can't imagine there's that many jobs left in the world that with all the technology we have one still couldn't effectively still be watching it while working?

LOL at someone taking the day off to watch NHL trade deadline
They're probably a serious fan of hockey, what are they doing on these forums amirite?

To answer, I have before and didn't regret it. Of course, I actually follow the league and not just my team, so it's not only interesting to me when my team does something.

These days I don't schedule clients until the afternoon and Monday I don't work until 2:30pm so I'm going to see much of it.

I used to but not anymore. Most trades happen the weekend before or late in the day Monday and I am home by then. I use the radio while at work....

I mean, I've done it but I'm with you - I will leave a broadcast on in the background while I work but no, I'm not taking the day.
