I think the PP is stale because they're saving 'set' plays for the playoffs.

One of the most creative PP in history doesnt ever seem to care about innovations suddenly one year? I think they're keeping shit in the bag.

PP is saving their best plays.

McDavid saving himself for the playoffs.

Have heard it all year.

Hopefully Skinner is waiting for the playoffs to start making saves. Just wants to lure the opposition into thinking they will score easily.

No, the problem with the Oilers isn't coaching. It's roster. Our bottom 6 forwards are nonfunctional and we had some absolutely terrible defensemen like Stecher and Klingberg as lineup regulars prior to the Walman trade. He frequently outcoaches the opponent anyway with an inferior roster and we win the possession/shot metrics battle, but then we get Skinnerd or Pickarded anyway. Roster was problematic last year too and he got us to within 1 game of the Cup, but now it's even worse.

I think its as much a matter of NHL correction and clamping down on our sets. The team hasn't held that much back I don't think with Drai's Rocket Richard heater going on again.

Wouldn't make too much sense not to score all they can on PP and close out games rather than players having to go balls to the wall in getting regular season results. Plus that this club for months rarely wins in regulation. I don't think they'd be holding back much. They've needed bullets.

Fire Schwartz first. Get an actual proven NHL starter second.

Then play 1 full season and see what happens.

Fire Schwartz and Bowman, put Jackson directly on the hot seat …. Most of the time GM’s/ POHO’s get to fire at least 1 coach before they themselves get shitcanned. This absolutely should not apply in this scenario. Knoblauch can be fired some day sure, but NOT before these stuffed shirts.

Jackson should never be given another chance after the way he bungled the off season and made us vulnerable to offer sheets. They knew Holland was retiring at the end of the season, so they should have had someone picked out and in place the moment the season ended and hit the ground running. I'd fire Jackson first in a heartbeat. To hell with his connection with McDavid.

I voted yes, but I don’t think we should. I think the shine is off of him and we are seeing his flaws which there are many.
That said, a coaching change won’t fix the teams issues.
