I do, I was about to get into the shower and I was on my laptop. I decided to refresh my twitter one last time before getting into the shower, I saw a tweet by Bobby Mac that we had traded for Richards... Here's where things start to get a bit embarrassing: I started bouncing all over the ****ing walls while naked. Certainly an interesting place to find out to say the least, does anyone else remember where they were when they trade was announced?

I recall the boards exploding over the Jeff Carter trade, and minutes later, there were rumblings that Mike Richards was also about to be dealt. Couldn't believe it.

In the car. My friend called me and I was so pissed because the Flyers were my only team and he was my favourite player. My facebook page, along with that of a few of my Flyer friends' pages had nothing but 4 letter words directed at Holmgren and Snider for weeks after that!

My sister ran towards me and yelled at me with the news and then the first thing I remembered was him making Bernier look terrible at philly lol.

John Wayne airport. Landed to a couple of texts. I knew I would never have to see Stoll again on a scoring line. Was sad to see Simmonds go, but it was a wonderful trade for the Kings.

Eating lunch, panicking when they had traded Carter and then heartbroken when they traded Richards as well. Realized I couldn't stomach being a Flyers fan anymore and jumping ship to the Kings.

Best. Decision. Ever.

Helping my then girlfriend and her family move (they're big Kings fans too) and couldn't believe the Kings just acquired Richards, she was a bit upset at losing Schenn as he was one of her favorites along with Brown and Clifford but then saw what Richards looked like and was okay

I was on the rumor board and saw that Carter had been traded to CBJ, I was thinking Dean missed the boat yet again (referring to FA failures), then within 15 minutes Bobby Mac broke the news. Shocked and a little bit nervous knowing that Schenn was going the other way, but looking back, i'd do it every time. (obviously)

I was talking to my Flyers friend about the Carter trade then out of the blue he goes 'YOU'VE GOT TO BE ****ING KIDDING ME'

I was on here..

I think Eklund broke the Richards trade? I laughed and was like there is no way they traded him.. that would be the biggest screw job by Homer. And sure enough.. it was true. I wasn't even upset about losing Schenn. It sucked to lose a player like Simmonds. But, I knew it was going to be worth it.

I just laugh at the Flyers now. Just sit back and laugh.

I was at work... not doing work stuff, obviously. I told a co-worker who is a Canadiens fan. I wasn't too excited at first. Not that I didn't like Richards, but I thought trading Schenn and Simmonds was a really heavy price.

Obviously now I'm happy with the trade.

Was on the deck of our vacation house on Whidbey Island in WA.

I remember being happy that we would finally get a good captain to lead the team because i was one who thought Brown was not cutting it and was a terrible captain :help:

yes i know how wrong i was...luckily for you all i keep to myself mostly and dont make it public how bad of a GM i would make

I woke up, opened my laptop, and saw that we got him. I think. I didn't believe it at first but was so happy cause I didn't really see "it" in Schenn. Was more sad to lose Simmer (and we could really use him back).

The more important question is where were you when the sultan of scoring was traded to us? :sarcasm:

At a restaurant with my buddy, I said "**** yeah" just loud enough for a few tables down to hear me. Whoops.

Saw confirmed link...trade Richards. I wasn't sure which one. (still scratching my head was like, what the hell?

Next line I saw was Telos said something like Wow Wow WOWWWWW!!!!!

I was sitting in my living room, posting on here while on my laptop. Carter had just been traded and Eklund was saying that Richards was in play and I thought there was no way Philly was that dumb

In the car on the same route as when I found out Richards was traded. Same friend called me about Carter and I was furious.

Yeah, I was here: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?t=931443

Was looking at the reactions to the Carter trade when Eklund threw out that Richards was going to LA.

Ironic prediction on the trade board: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?t=923023

The Jeff Carter thread: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?t=1115779

I was actually happier when we got Carter, mainly because I was so shocked during the Richards trade ordeal, and also because I knew instantly that the Kings had finally acquired their sniper.

In a hotel room in San Diego...my friend sent me a text saying we got Richards and I thought he was talking about Brad. Glad we got the better one.

I was in my hotel room...on Waikiki beach. I had just come in from the sun and flipped on the TV and tuned into ESPN News to see the ticker at the bottom stating Mike Richards had been traded. I immediately sat up straight and thought "Oh crap! Oh please let it be to the Kings...oh please...YES!!!!". Needless to say, I spent a great majority of the rest of that day, while on vacation, reading every damn message board thread and reading every article in a giddy stupor. It was totally worth it.

I was on my home from soccer practice and my sister told me my dad had some news that was going to blow my mind. Now I believe around that time Brad Richards was still a free agent so I assumed that the Kings somehow signed him. So when I got home, I asked him what the news was and he told me I was close.

He then told me that the kings traded for Mike Richards. I then went crazy. I remember telling my dad a few times when the kings played the flyers saying how aweseome would it be if he played fopr the kings, but we never thought it would happen. I was bummed that we had to lose simmer and schenn, but obviously it paid off.

Yeah, on here. Was browsing and saw half the title, that being "Mike Richards traded." Then opened it and was shocked.

In Sacramento visiting my daughter when I heard the news and immediately went on here to confirm. Already forgot how but I listened to an interview by two Philly sportscasters with MR just after he learned of the trade and you can tell he was shocked and sad to leave the Flyers. I remember thinking, hopefully he'd be happier when he got to LA.....

I remember thinking they traded them to opposite sides of the country and they still end up on the same team in the same season. They just can't stay separated can they?
