This will be the first year since I was a baby I likely won’t even watch the Cup being presented. I missed Sid’s first Cup because a storm knocked out power but I was able to somehow keep track of the score on my phone, but other than that I’ve made it a point to watch them all.
Thankfully it’ll be over 4 or 5 games.

Mine too. I become borderline obsessive during the 2 or so months that are the playoffs. During the regular season I only really watch my own two teams, but I might check out a random other game if I'm bored one night or it's late in the season. Come playoff time, I'm in for the long haul and watch every game possible.

My obsession was even "worse" (or "stronger" if you prefer a more neutral intensifier) when I still lived in Arizona and was deeply involved in the local hockey community there (as both a player and an official). My entire life revolved around hockey, especially since for a couple years I was making enough money as an official that I didn't have a separate job.

Yeah playoff season is my Christmas. Just love watching as many games as possible.

I do get burnt out once in a while and I like playing video games with my friends so I'll skip a night of hockey games but I'm glued to my TV 90% of the time.

Caps fan. When the Caps aren't it (ie all the time), I'll pay attention if there are teams in it who I really hate (Pens, Flyers, Lightning) that I want to see lose.

I'll also pay attention if there in an interesting story. This year being a perfect example: Edmonton hasn't won since their glory years of the 1980s, and McDrai have never won a Cup before. Interesting story if they win.

Otherwise forget it. Time for the NBA draft, baby.
