Do the Florida Panthers have a claim to be the most hated team in the league right now?

Was just looking at a ranking across all social media and it had the Leafs 2nd behind the Hawks.....

In the end there's probably a million polls out there......Being in Ontario we get all the Leafs games and the reaction they get on the road says it all....There's games where it actually sounds like a home game.....I don't see anything close to that when it comes to the Bruins or the Hawks.............Only team that can come close to the Leafs when it comes to that is the Canadiens.............

I think during the height of the Yankees Red Sox rivalry one of the Red Sox executives (think it was Lucchino) referred to the Yankees as the evil empire....Not you're the new evil empire.............

are the state and local taxes impossible to overcome? My appreciation is that the rates can be somewhat minimized with some financial planning. I know some NBA agents have suggested as much in interviews. Even if there is no state income tax and another state charges 5% isn't the real difference closer to 2.5% since half the games are played on the road? And that would be before any financial maneuvering.

Barkov is pretty much a perfect hockey player. No issues with Marchand and Bennet. Eckblad... you know what, it's fine.

I wouldn't have any issues with the Cats other than they employ possibly my least favourite player of all-time, the slimiest, cheap-shotiest silverspooned nepo-baby to ever lace them up in the NHL.

Cause they watch and follow no one else.
Ever ask a Leaf fan if they saw the Stanley cup finals game last night? Response:
" I dont watch after the leafs are out" "Go Jays"
 
Not a Panthers fan but anyone who knocked the leafs out in 5 easy games ...aint all bad around this house.

3 teams I like to see lose :
Leafs ,
Caps
Rangers,
Leafs.

Did I say leafs ?

Although I wouldn't call Leaf representation in the US significant. Of the Canadian teams, the Habs have the greatest US grown fanbase by far.

A couple of their players, sure, but that's true of almost every team including the one I follow

Habs are my team.
But love it when the Panthers eliminate teams like the Maple Laffs, Bolts, and Rangers.

I dont like Florida but I don't see that much hate for them overall.

Fans were way more upset and hateful/jealous of Tampas success just a few years ago for example - I don't get a similar sense towards the Panthers.

There's also always teams like the Leafs who many hate. And Boston - no one likes Boston.
