I don’t hate the panthers because of any of these reasons you listed.

I hate the panthers because their fans pretend that Zito is an amazing GM that can convince players to sign for less money

I don't dislike them for any of the reasons you listed. I dislike them because they're the in-state rivals of the Tampa Bay Lightning, which is my husband's team (and by extension, my second team). That's about it.

Matthew Tkachuk is one of the guys you hate when he's on another team but when he's on your team you love him.

Not even close. Barkov and Bob are liked by most everyone. FLA was irrelevant for so many years I think most people don't harbor much historical hate. And although Tkachuk and Marchand have plenty of haters, they also have a lot of fans, myself included. I'm happy for the longtime FLA fans who endured some pretty bad years.

I don't really get the hate tbh. Though it's more on reddit than here. I've been a fan for damn near 30 years. Panthers had a free agency where Joey Crabb and Scott Gomez were their UFA signings. They had a game where there were no scissors to cut a broken glass available so they had to put a piece of plywood up. There were no fans at games, now there's a ton. There are no real rivals, I guess Boston but it's just because Florida owns them, not organic. Tampa has never been much of a rivalry as much as it was pushed. They were a pathetic organization that got the best GM in the league, I don't know what there is to hate. I guess Chucky, Bennett etc but those guys are awesome, you hate to play them, would love to have them on your team.

Also the refs thing, Florida was the 2nd most penalized team in the league last year and are 1st this year. Teams frequently get double or triple Florida's powerplays. I think there's people who actually think Florida should play the whole game 5 v 4.

we sucked for almost all our existence..
Being hated at least is something we can take.... Something can be taken from that...

Ignoring our relevance like most have until we won last year was much worse...

Imagine being good for 4-5 years only to be ignored... nothing worse than that.
we have like a 62% winning percentage these last 5 years or so...
