I still think they are lacking on the ice.
Have been since the season began.
I anticipate them getting mathematically eliminated on my B day. Just to **** me off.

I've been pretty consistant since before this season started. Come April 8th, I think we will find ourselves in the exact same place we did the last two seasons...one or two point out of it. If 7 of our last 8 games weren't at home we may have actually had a chance. But since this team plays like **** at home, the season ends on 4/8.

FWIW 7-2-0 @home since coaching change, 5-4-0 on road.

I actually feel more confident then usual because of how we pretty well dominated that game last night yet lost to a hot goalie. I would be more concerned if we were playing poorly, but to be honest we were extremely unfortunate to come out of the Ottawa/TO games with no points, we will be fine.

You know full well they are going to string us along until that final day and go out and lay an egg vs. the Capitals to seal their fate.

A bounce or two the last two nights and this poll could easily be entitled, will they catch the Habs for 1st.

I did not expect the stretch drive to be void of losses.

They have hit a bump in the road, but if they keep delivering the effort like they have since the coaching change they should make the play-offs.

I keep thinking this but then get enraged when I consider that our $7M goalie is constantly getting outplayed by other team's $3-5M goalies.

Still waiting for Rask to steal one when it matters.

I've been pretty hard on Rask this year but I don't blame him at all for these 2 recent losses.

from Harris of the Herald:

How can any fan be faulted for looking at the Bruins’ three-game losing streak and asking, “Is this really going to happen again?â€

Is it possible that the B’s, after being comfortably in possession of a playoff berth, can let it slip away in the final weeks and days of the season for a third straight year?

The bet here, after watching two solid performances the past two nights produce zero points in the standings, is no.

It will not happen

I have said right along they wouldn't and I'm not seeing anything that would change my mind.

No.

Not that I wouldn't like to be wrong.

I want to think this means something. But this team is consistently inconsistent. When it come right down to it, we are a streaky team that in more cae s than not just doesn't have the ability to finish in clutch situations.

Couldn't agree more.

The way I look at it, they weren't going to make it under Claude anyway, so if they do, it's gravy. I still think they do make it outright, but even if they don't, the last few weeks of hockey have been a real treat to watch. The games were exciting, the style of play was like a breath of fresh air. The players were enjoying themselves and it showed. It was far more fun than seeing them try to steal points by trying to not lose, like they did under Claude for the last 10 years.

I wonder who's trunk Lonnie got stuffed in when they stole his phone to post this. I'm thinking Joe or Trevor.

I don't think any team can be as unlucky as they have been for the past 2 games for a prolonged period of time.

I'm not saying they're winning a cup and I'm not saying they aren't flawed, but facts are facts.

If not for the garbage call on Moore vs. Toronto - they likely come out with a point.

If not for the garbage call vs. McQuaid last night - they likely come out with another point.

I may change my tune if they get 1 or less points out of the next 2 -- but I think they'll get at least 3 and be okay.

Just my .02

yep, gonzo if they don`t take those 4pts

What if they lose the next 2 and win the last 7?

The thing is, the Bruins are still in the driver seat even with the 0-3 streak.

If they barely play 500 and close the year 5-4-0, TWO of these three teams need these records for the Bruins to miss:

Toronto would need 6-5-0 or better
NYI would need 7-3-1 or better
TB would need 8-2-0 or better

Bruins win and they get in. Could even get in losing if they get help but that's not how you want to get into the playoffs.

Let's hold on 3rd in the division and EC Final wouldn't be out of reach at all. If they fell to WC2, then it's big underdog in round 1 and unless a big surprise or a 2013 Pittsburgh series from Rask, a quick exit.

Go Bruins!

Bruins win Tomorrow and Saturday guaranteed.

Arguably should've beat Toronto and Ottawa. A little puck luck and both games were W's instead of L's

It's too early to say that this team resembles the ones that blew it the last couple of seasons. They have played well the past couple of games (and importantly, that includes Rask). On Monday they lost to a team that played its best game of the season, and yesterday they were quite unlucky. I was actually encouraged by last night's performance given that they had played the previous night.

9 remaining games with SEVEN at home.

I can't see them blowing this. However if they do Papa Jacobs will clean house.

Why wouldn't they make it? They've been playing well since the coaching change, and have been dominating possession all season. Predicting that they won't make it is nothing more than pessimistic paranoia induced by the heartbreak of the last two seasons.
