Better than a tie , like what are we even talking about here
Well...yeah. Coaches and players create opportunities and then bury their chances when the window of opportunity opens.Right…so you think teams can just score at will? Seriously?
Why don't think just do that in regulation and score 10 goals each period...chances are the other team isn't going to be able to match 30 goals....so they'd never need OT to begin with right?Well...yeah. I do the same thing. I simply don't enjoy watching them.Always found shoot outs to be dumb. I turn the game off after overtime.
No, it's not IMOBetter than a tie , like what are we even talking about here
Yes it is wasting 3 hours of your life for 1 game out of 82 in a year for no W or L is badlol no.
No, it's not IMO
I feel like a game ending in a shootout is wasting 3 hours of my life. I have no issue with a tie.Yes it is wasting 3 hours of your life for 1 game out of 82 in a year for no W or L is bad
I don't like the fact that these gimmicks can determine playoff spots.Better than a tie , like what are we even talking about here
I understand but the only alternative is ties and I'm not sure most fans want that.I don't like the fact that these gimmicks can determine playoff spots.
Regulation time isn't sudden death...so, yeah, there's a very good chance the opposition teams would respond in kind and score likewise. Why don't think just do that in regulation and score 10 goals each period...chances are the other team isn't going to be able to match 30 goals....so they'd never need OT to begin with right?
Yes, that's the point, good chance the other team gets great scoring chance depending on how you play. In regulation, you may be comfortable playing a certain way and if the other team scores, you have time to comeback and score yourself. In OT you don't have that luxury, so teams sit back a bit more, if they open it up and go all out trying to score, they will end up giving up scoring chances and no ability to come back from it.Regulation time isn't sudden death...so, yeah, there's a very good chance the opposition teams would respond in kind and score likewise.
OT is a different animal. First goal wins.
