I wonder if Waddell has a history not signing guys mid season or if he's just focused on Olivier/Provorov/Fabbro and letting the RFAs go until the summer

I've never been a fan of the Boyle comparison if that actually a real comparison. Voronkov might have the potential to score as many goals in a season as Boyle had points. Boyle would have been a better matchup guy

In Carolina they have a history of not signing either UFAs or RFAs and then going into hardball mode in the summer.

That was usually attributed to the owner, not to Waddell, but so far we haven't seen him eager to sign anyone here either.

My assumption is the bridge deals are a franchise staple (maybe mandated by ownership? Who knows) so I wouldn’t expect voronkov’s deal to change that. 2-3 year deal, and if a bridge is what’s coming, there’s no rush to get it done.

Olivier is the only player he's talked about so far isn't it? I think he'd like that one done atleast
