Would love to see him doing agility and speed drills. Reflex, twitch muscles, cardio... all the things he needs to work on to become the beast we hope he does. Really hope he comes back with a little English language under his belt and that he's more comfortable in 2024. Could be a unicorn in this league as he develops.

He looks quite lean in all the videos atleast. I think cardio was his biggest issue, takes a lot of energy to move that much mass and not many are able to do it like the Byfuglien's of the world

Per Mark Scheing: News: #CBJ has placed Dmitri Voronkov on injured reserve. He’s out indefinitely with an upper-body injury. The team gave no exact timeframe. There is a chance it could be longer term though.

Do you or anyone have the video of what happened?
It was the 1st or 2nd shift of the game.

Took a hit that seemed pretty shoulder to shoulder. Didn’t seem to brace for it or tense up much for it. He should always be the aggressor. I’m “guessing” shoulder injury and the longer they don’t say anything concrete, the worse it probably is.

Obviously thrilled he’s here and playing well, but do we have any insights on if he’s enjoying Columbus/NHL life? We all know the homesick story from last year. I just hope he’s doing well off the ice and wants to stick around after his contract ends

Based on this 6 month old interview, he seems to be feeling pretty good, but his adaptation level is 0 according to him at 6:10

Alex Tuch is a big guy who can skate....heh.....Josh Anderson, frankly, as well.
Anderson skates really well and is physical but he completely lacks vision, has no passing skills and doesn’t really have stick handling ability.

Vronk is not the best skater but he excels at everything else. I think Vronk seems much better of the puck.

IOW, And was a one man show, don’t think he helps teammates at all. Felt like most of his points were goals where a puck was stolen and he simply drove the net and took the shout himself. Never looked for teammates and sustaining offensive possession time. Vronk definitely involves his line mates.
