Damn you Russel Wilson. He got way too greedy . Steelers should be up 14-7 but now the Ravens are driving the other way after that fumble.

I don't care about us trash talking...I just want the disrespect of Josh to stop.
It is pretty funny to hear Lamar being the most dynamic player in the league when Allen is lighting up Detroit on the air and ground and beat the undefeated Chiefs with an insane run on 4th down. Meanwhile the Ravens have lost 5 and got beat by the almighty Winston led Browns....oh yeah the Steelers are also ahead of them in the division going into this game.

I'm pretty much resigned to Kansas City winning the `1 seed so I'm rooting for Pittsburgh to wrap up the AFC North today. Best chance for a PIT-BAL wild card game.
See, I'm rooting for Baltimore. A Baltimore win means that we could have the 2 seed sewn up with 2 wins.....which renders our week 18 utterly meaningless and thus could be basically a bye for the starters.

Baltimore winning today basically takes them out of the running for the 7 seed, enhances our chances at a week 18 bye while still maintaining a decent chance at a PIT/BAL wild-card game.

I mean, a KC win over Pittsburgh next week does the same thing, and if KC doesn't win we're still chasing the one seed.

To be honest, I care more about Baltimore not being 7 than anything else. Just not them in the WC, is all I ask for Christmas

The ideal moving forward you want is:

#1. Pittsburgh to be fired up (I think that will be a check)
#2. Denver to be do or die next in the last week vs KC.

and, of course, we need to take care of business vs the Patriots this week and NYJ next week.

And, shhhh, if we win tomorrow, its in the NFLs best interest for the Chiefs to lose next week so week 17 means something.

If KC and Houston win on Christmas we could be locked into the 2 with 2 weeks to go
If we get locked in as the 2, IMO the other ideal result is Baltimore not winning the division. And further down, please, no Cincy as the 7 seed.

If the WC round as it stands (and a lot could certainly change) went chalk except for BAL beating HOU, we’d have a game against PIT to try and get into the AFCCG and face the winner of KC v BAL. Only having to beat one of those two instead of both would be huge

At this point, I think the most likely result is:

1) KC (16-1)
2) Buffalo (14-3)
3) Baltimore (12-5)
4) Houston (10-7)
5) Pittsburgh (11-6, H2H over LA)
6) LA (11-6)
7) Denver (10-7) or Indianapolis (9-8)

I really, really don't see the Colts losing to Tennessee, NYG, or Jacksonville. Which would knock out Cincinnati, because they need both the Colts and Dolphins to drop games in addition to winning out and having the Broncos lose out.

Cincy beating Pittsburgh would cause the Chargers to get into 5th and Steelers to be 6th...so if we think the Steelers with Pickens and a healthy secondary could knock off Baltimore...

A lot more will come clear on Christmas, because Houston would still take over the 3 seed if KC and Houston win then (and Baltimore would drop to 5 to go to #4 Pittsburgh and we'd be rooting for #3 Houston against #6 LA if chalk held in week 18).

I do think Baltimore (and KC) winning is more likely, but swapping the winners of either of those Xmas games from the expected changes things dramatically.

Not that anyone is surprised

edit...the post began with "Not that anyone is surprised" and this is the first time someone reported that his hand had broken bone(s). Obviously he wore a glove and two fingers were taped together so we assumed something was wrong. Broken hand is new news

Yes, but that's dispicable of Rappaport to report that as teams will be gunning for it now even more. Some of these reporters need to be hit with HIPPA violations!

He hasn't been taped up since before the Chiefs game, I would be more concerned the league comes down on the Bills for not fully reporting it.
