Thought I'd see more skill on the PP from Buium to be honest.

On the PP I agree, but he’s got an elite look overall IMO. Hasn’t been as dominant as Hutson, but he hasn’t been bad. I think he looks like an all tools #1 type.

Yes, and it's not even close. From an NHLe POV Hutson is their best prospect overall, even better than Cristall and Leonard.

They are different type of players but as of now Hutsons upside is much higher.

Interesting, I’ve been trying to follow our prospects better. I feel like Hutson came out of nowhere, how/why did he fall so late? Chesley seemed to be pretty hyped, but haven’t heard much about him recently

He's small, although not as small as his brother who is already doing well in Montreal. The league's changed and talent scouts haven't fully caught up.

Brother is doing quite well for me as a mid-season fantasy league pick up.

In addition to being on the smaller side both he and his brother (to a larger extent) are insanely puck-dominant and create with their hands and skating primarily rather than their shot or first pass. I forget where exactly I saw it but I think Lane has more puck on stick time p/g this year than the next closest defenseman by like a full half minute or something insane. I think a lot of scouts and managers (and even myself) have legitimate concerns over how much that style of offense from the blue line is going to transfer in the NHL.

Given that both this concern and the size were more prominent with Lane and how successful Lane's career has been post-draft though, I have no idea how Cole didn't go in the late first.

Came out of nowhere he’s team, USA, assistant, captain and his brothers one of the best defenders on a Canadian hockey team as a 20-year-old

Hutson and Chesly could end up being out next Carlson Alzner if you get their styles

Caps took Chesley over Lane Hutson 2 years ago, then Lane Hutson has this quick rise to the pros, still the Sabres took Kleber over Cole Hutson, maybe all this time the Caps were like we are not passing on another Hutson in the 2nd

I don't know about you guys, but I am extremely excited about our prospects. Ovie retiring will be sad but I have hope that we will have an exciting and competitive hockey team to watch.
