Buium is on the top pair but Hutson’s pair was on the ice for most of the offense and was VIBING with Lenny
I only caught the first period before I fell asleep on the couch but Hutson and Leonard did seem to read each other pretty well and Hutson was getting some bigger defensive minutes. Hutson seems like a sneaky little gem, he won't keep up with NHL physicals for a while but if he can be allowed to play his game and slip in and out with appropriate coverage he's got the offensive chops to justify it.

Five assists for Hutson yet it wasn't even an overly amazing performance for him. Just proficient and active. He loves to get forward. No doubt. Sometimes he tries to do a bit too much but you'd rather have that level of confidence vs. being afraid to make mistakes. Highly creative.

Muggli with an outlet pass from behind his net up the middle to a teammate who didn't seem quite ready for it - plus even if he had been ready the puck was poorly placed for him to receive it - leading to a Slovak go-ahead goal with <4 minutes left in what had been a tie game. Edit: and an L for CH.

Didn't catch the end of the game but watched most of it I thought Muggli was solid out there.

Phew, I dunno if I saw it like that. His pairing really struggled. Every time there was sustained pressure on them his pairing was out there. Not sure if it was all his fault or not because his partner looked rough too. The game losing play was absolutely brutal though. Hope he can bounce back because that's a tournament lowlight so far. He's been playing for the swiss national team for a long time and this is his second U20, can't make that play.

That was a f***ing RIPPER of a shot in the shootout by Big E.

Sure would have been cool to have a guy like Cristall for that shootout I'd imagine...lol

I had a good feeling Mateiko was going to end it. He came close a couple times there late in OT. He's looking like a tremendous pick where we got him.
How did they not bring a guy with that much offense and then struggle to score. So predictable, so Hockey Canada.

Oh for sure I don't think his partner was that good. I keep pretty narrowly just mobility and how a young dman reacts/processes the game. If the pair do get pinned whats the level of calmness.

I believe they said Canada had outscored Latvia 41-4 in 4 previous WJC matchups
Caps got Sandin, Mateiko, Boston’s 2nd, and Craig Smith for Orlov, Hathaway, and Erik Gustafsson
