Huge win today but if you had told me that Arsenal would take 4 from 6 for City I'd assume we'd be top of the table by a pretty significant margin ...

hahaha flat out rude

Bournemouth had been red hot coming into yesterday so I hoped they could at least slow down Liverpool. Nope.

It's still 6pts. Arsenal have to be perfect and LIV need to stumble vs a few teams like maybe MC, Fulham?, Aston, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal themselves way down the line in May.
Yeah I was really hoping the cherries would take some points from Liverpool since they had been playing so well as you said.

And Everton have been been way better under Moyes than Dyche and it is the last derby at Goodison so taking points definitely isn’t out of the question there.

Going to Citeh won’t be easy either they have a few other reasonably tough games coming up in the next month or so so yeah I shouldn’t write it off at this point. There is about a third of the season to play after all.

The guy literally threw the ball against the back of Gabriel’s head last year when they tied it up at the death at the Emirates last season. f*** him…
But it WAS funny! No ragrets!

But it WAS funny! No ragrets!

Of course he doesn’t regret it, he got away with it with absolutely no consequences. If it had happened the other way Gabriel 100% gets a red card for violent conduct and gets a multiple game suspension on top of the one for the straight red. How he didn’t at least get a fine I have no idea.

Sterling is ass. Perpetually offside, superpower is diving in the area and nobody calls it for him anymore, can't create or score.

With Saka, Jesus, and Havertz all out and Sterling a net-negative it does look like Gunners are 90% done.

At the end of the summer window I thought Sterling was such a smart move, he's done absolutely nothing this year though. Managed to pull it out today but yea it's going to be tough ...

Get ready for a Calafiori-Merino-Nwaneri front three!

I love Trossard wide left and have no idea why Arteta wastes time with Sterling out there and Trossard center.

Trossard/Merino/Nwaneri is a good enough front to compete but they still may need a true 9

Wow what a boneheaded move from Hernandez there.

Him and Leao to me alternate between being the best good players in the world or the worst elite players

Yeah a 2nd yellow, 7 minutes after getting the 1st, for diving is pretty terrible. What a maroon…

I normally enjoy watching Man City take a good asswhipping, but that was pathetic and sad and I couldn't even finish the game.

It's pretty amazing seeing so many guys completely fall off a cliff at once. Gundogan, Bernardo, KDB, Dias, Stones, Ederson, Kovacic all just look completely cooked

I've defended the expansion to 48 teams ... 64 is too many.

Champions league has been great so far. Don't know how Liverpool managed to steal that game

64 at least is a logical number for going from the group stage to the knockout stages. 48 brings back the weird best X 3rd place teams get through situation that they had when the tournament was 24 teams.

In my head? The only reason to expand is to allow all teams a chance to have a stinker of a game, at start (rust and/or not helped yet, or…). You get my drift.

When it’s 32, you basically have to start “at your best”, and not round into form. You could do that, with 64 teams. As your bracket will be severely watered down, right?

Just musing here
