isn't he part of the triple gold club? he was def getting in before the last 6 years
Guys got a Hart, a cup, league wide reputation and played for over twenty years
He's in easily
Depends on how you look at it. Getting the cup finals is no easy task. He's got stats that put him up there and he's been on really good teams that go far. You could look at it from both sides and I dont think he should hang his head too low even though it definitely looks like he's going to lose another one.
It's Hockey Hall of Fame. Not NHL Hall of Legends.Which makes the HHOF quite meaningless.
Sorry, when the same Hall holds Gretzky, Orr, Lemieux, Howe and Yzerman, Perreault, Bossy, Lafleur ....as well as Oates, Langway, Shanghai, Lindros.....
It's pretty much meaningless to be a member in it
Team accomplishments should never be included. It's Hockey Hall of Fame. Not NHL Hall of Legends.
His team and individual accomplishments pretty easily pass the sniff test as far as players making it in, and I say this as a Kings fan.
^^^ Perfect response.Team award
Meaningless since it's voted on
An actual accomplishment
Underwhelming
GP aren't a metric of HHOF
Not all that headline grabbing nevermind HHOF stuff
Sooooo....nope
Getzlaf and Tavares were/are near-point/game players. Perry isn't in the same category as them.If you keep Perry out you have to keep others out from this past generation, Getzlaf, Toews, Tavares etc.
Perry is absolutely getting in
Getzlaf and Tavares were/are near-point/game players. Perry isn't in the same category as them.
But bro, he won a Cup and made the finals 5 times in 6 years.Individual numbers are very underwhelming for someone being considered for the HOF. Only two seasons at a ppg, basically a 50 to 60 point player most of his career.
Lol no other team has ever had any luck to win a championship before and no other team has ever scored a goal off an opponent's mistake neither, of coursePerry is very fortunate that Niedermayer's shot went off Lidstrom's stick and in in the last minute of 2007 Western Conference Final Game 5 to send that to OT, followed by Andreas Lilja having one of the worst turnovers in NHL history in OT right onto Selanne's stick for the OT winner. Otherwise, Detroit probably advances and gets another Cup and Perry might not have one.
I'm just saying Perry is incredibly close to having 0 CupsLol no other team has ever had any luck to win a championship before and no other team has ever scored a goal off an opponent's mistake neither, of course
That can be true of 90% of Cup winners, so kinda moot, no?I'm just saying Perry is incredibly close to having 0 Cups
