they should be able to play it, but it shouldnt be an olympic event unless they meet a certain standard (which they dont)

And what might those standards be? How would you decide and enforce them?

And why aren't there standards on mens hockey? Why should countries like Israel and Mexico and Bulgaria be allowed to have teams that play in the IIHF championships, when they're obviously pretty bad teams.

I was watching the womens U.S-Switzerland game yesterday and remember thinking that a good Finnish junior B (17-year olds) team could probably beat USA even if checking wasn't allowed (if it was things could get real ugly). Some players had some nice puck-skills, but it looked like they were playing in slow motion compared to the mens game.

exactly.

I don't get this... Not fast enough for what? Not strong enough for what?

to make the game exciting? to beat 16 year old boys?

Olympians should be exponentially better than me at their craft. These women aren't. I don't think womens hockey should be an olympic event because they stink.

Oki, so they shouldn't go to the Olympic just because YOU don't like women hockey?

Is this thread a competition to see who can be the stupidest?

Fine. Women are banned from the Olympics until Roy_Hobbs figures out how to use the remote control on "his" television.

Sheesh. So the whole world exists to excite you personally?
