Marchand is a rat, no doubt.

Few differences though:

Marchand is a superstar. Bunting is a JAG. No comparison.

Marchand answers for his antics on occasion. Bunting never answers. Never. No comparison.

Marchand has more fights this year (albeit just 1) than Bunting has his entire NHL career. (ZERO) Say what you will about Marchand but he will step up and pay the piper on occasion. Bunting is tough behind the linesman or on the bench.

It may make you feel better to make the comparison. But Bunting isn’t worthy of carrying Marchand’s jockstrap on any level.

Well before they started talking about face offs.

Imagine how much of a mouth breathing Neanderthal you have to be to start arguing with the officials for stopping a game when a player gets hit in the face with a shot.

And then follow it up arguing about the face off location.

And, according to some, it's Bunting that is in the wrong here.

Give your head a shake.

If there is outrage over Bunting here, should there not be much more outrage over the tantrums of a former star player not caring about fellow colleagues who may be seriously injured?

No one is actually offended by Bunting's actions. It's just an excuse to take shots at the Leafs who are having a season you can't say too many bad things about. It's like letting some air out of a tire, people are waiting for the playoffs to go nuts but need a release now and then. This is it.

That context doesn't make it better. If the faceoff should be in a different area, that's his job as an A on the other team. Nobody likes to see players get injured. But this isn't a near death situation and the game is continuing. If that's really the full context here where Scheifele is just talking to the ref about a faceoff, than Bunting should be the one shutting up. With that said, I don't think that needs to be dealt with just because a player was yapping.
