Its crazy never seen this before usually players of opposing teams are laughing and giggling with each other singing kumbyah in a drum circle patting each other on the back saying "good job buddy wanna get ice cream?" "With sprinkles?" "You know it bud!". Bunting is an absolute monster how dare he show passion and yell obscenities in such foul flagrant manner what type of scumbag hockey player ever does this how dare he desecrate the sanctity of this game, how dare he, over the top over the line, completely uncalled for, how will we ever recover, worst thing to ever happen, Bunting I hope you know what you did you are lucky you aren't doing life right now after that horrendous verbal assault.

Ok, and? A teams Captain\Assistant is supposed talk to the ref if they have an issue with where a faceoff should be, it's their job. Do you think the world supposed to stop just because something bad happened to the Leafs? Are other teams just supposed to say "oh poor Leafs, I guess we'll just surrender our right to discuss plays with the refs"?

This is a complete non-issue that only became an issue because Bunting is (once again) acting like a spoiled little child throwing a temper tantrum.
The OP didn't bother to include the reason why Bunting was mad at Scheifele which was him asking about the faceoff, instead of being concerned that Liljegren got hit in the face with the puck and was down on the ice. They tried to make it look like Bunting went crazy screaming at him for no reason. That's why I posted the tweet with the video that backs up what Bunting did, and I have no problem with him screaming at Scheifele.

You think that's a normal response for someone who's angry/pissed? He looked like he was almost crying and then screamed the same thing over and over. I don't care if Scheifele said he was going to beat his mom up, Bunting gave the response of a 10 year old who had his gaming system taken away
Kind of like Gretzky, Crosby and many others over their careers? It’s a complete shock to see hockey players throwing 2 year old tantrums……said no one ever (that’s been around).

Sticking up for each other? He was talking to the ref not kicking the Leaf player on the ice.
Uh, didn’t it only become an issue because a poster made it an issue? You see or hear anyone else anywhere talking about it? Nothing to see here really, just more of HF “stop talking about the Leafs - while constantly bringing up the Leafs”.

Bunting is verbally abusing Mark Schiefele for having a conversation with the referee.

At some point you have to deal with behaviour like this.

Verbally abusing?

You know it's seriously insulting to invalidate my concerns as 'just trolling'.

You mean with a dirty hit, spear or a bio-hazardous lick to the opponent's face?
You think those words cross the line but slew foots, hacks, slashes, trips, high sticks, punches and face washes don't?

Try tennis or golf.

Bunting obviously embarrassed himself with the tantrum but gone too far? That is his choice, no one else was affected by it.

"Verbally abusing" lol

That's probably one of the tamest things said on either side that game.

Nice job leaving out the context where Bunting's teammate got hit in the face with the puck and was on the ice being helped and Scheifele was standing over him complaining to the ref.

Why leave out the context? Liljegren got hit with the puck up high and was down on the ice hurt, and Scheif was crying to the ref of where the faceoff should be. This is Bunting telling him to shut up because his team mate is injured

That's not very nice of Bunting though.
Maple Leafs culture breeding rude personnel and its likely karma keeping them from advancing anywhere in the playoffs because of it

LMAO 'crossing the line'? 'Verbally abusing'? This is a professional hockey game, not the snowflake world you live in. Game would do better with more of this 'verbal abuse'.

This is a bad thread and you should feel bad for making it.

Bunting showing Scheifele he knows 4 -5 words, and can repeat them.
